Shawn's POV

As we're pulling up to Taco Bell (late night runs amirite) I'm trying to come up with ways to convince Ave's mom to let her come with me on MagCon. I've had this one reoccurring thought. What if she could do online school to graduate from senior year. I mean she just got back from France so she hasn't made a ton of Highschool friends. Don't get me wrong, I bet she would, but she just hasn't had the chance. That's one of the main reasons I think she (Ave) might turn me down.

We get out of the car and out of nowhere Ave falls to her knees, pretends to kiss the ground and says "Holy shit I missed this so much. REAL FOOOOD!" I start laughing hysterically and end up falling right next to her. I totally forgot there was snow beneath us and I get so cold but I still am laughing. A car comes out of the drive-thru and the driver rolls down their window and asks "Are you kids alright?" We both nod our heads and I reply with a simple "Yes." I get up and help the still laughing Ava get up.

"Hey Mendes." "Yeh?" I question. "Is there any snow or ice on my back?" I laugh and tell her to turn around. Her whole back is covered in snow and I snicker. She whips around with flustered cheeks and tries to wipe it off. But I tell her "Just turn around. I'll help you." I can't help but start laughing again. I brush off the snow on her back and it slowly falls to the ground and her hoodie is soaked. I chuckle and we walk into Taco Bell.

The cashier looks up from the register and drops her jaw. Oh crap. A fan. Sure I love meeting them but when they cover their mouths and drop their jaw, they're most likely going to scream your name and have everybody turn and look at you. And I'm not really in the mood for it right now. She stutters "Y-you're, you're Shawn Mendes." In a surprisingly normal tone. Ave looks at me and she has a look of shock on her face I laugh and turn to the cashier. "Do you want a picture or autograph?" She looks at me for a second and then snaps out of it. "Um. Y-yea if it's not too much trouble." She stutters again. "Not at all." I say with a smile. She grabs a sharpie from the pencil/pen holder near the register and comes around the counter.

"So can we take a picture and then could you sign my phone case? Please?" She adds the last part silently. "Of course." I ask for her phone and get to the camera. I smile and spam the pictures. "Hey if you post one make sure to tag me!" I smile and then ask for the sharpie. I sign her case and she heads back around the counter. "So what can I get you two today?" I look at Ave and she orders a Baja Blast and 2 soft tacos. Haha her usual. I then order a Baja Blast and 2 hard shell tacos. Ave takes out her money to pay but I put my hand on here and lower it back down. The cashier says "That'll be $9.64 please." I pull out a $10 bill and tell her to keep the change.

We go find a booth and wait until our food I called up. "Hey Shawn could we take this back to your house?" Ave asks. "Of course." I smile back. I honestly missed having her around so much. Our number is called and we walk up to the counter, take our food, and head back out to the car. She hops into the passenger's side while I climb into the driver's side. "Hey Ave can you hold the food please?" I ask while buckling my seat belt. "Yea of course." I hand her the food and start the ignition. "Oh and Ave? We're going to make one more stop before we go home." I say smirking. "Oh Jesus Christ Shawn. This isn't where you take me into the woods and kill me is it?" I laugh and reply "Haha no!! I was just talking about the grocery store! Jeez way to ruin the moment Avw." I laugh and continue to drive with the radio on.
