Chapter 27

Shawn's POV

My palms are sweaty and I force a smile onto my face. I mean I'm excited, I'm just nervous as hell. This is my first gig that isn't MagCon and it's only like my fourth gig in total. So... I'm not necessarily use to this. It's a sorta small venue, only about 1500 people. But still. I'm nervous as hell.

"Hey guys!" I yell over everyone in the bellowing crowd after I'm introduced by Bradley (a/n The Vamps' lead singer). "Today y'all are in for a treat! We're going to be singing a song that hasn't been released yet, it's actually releasing in 2 days! It's called 'Oh Cecilia'!"

I know that artists usually don't perform a song they haven't released yet, but it comes out in two days. Plus I really wanted to surprise Ava. She's surprised me with little things all the time. So, it's time that I repay her. I really hope she likes it because well, it's one of her favourite bands plus her boyfriend so hopefully it's a win-win.

Ava's POV

Shawn just had surprises after surprises after surprises. God I got so lucky. They finish 'Oh Cecilia' and then Shawn, in his cowboy hat, sings a cover of Hallelujah. It was so beautiful. His vocals give me chills that tingle down my spine.

After the concert it was time to go to the meet & greet. I was so excited! I get to meet The Vamps! This is insane! "Ava I'm so excited oh my God, I cant stop shaking this is going to be so amazing! I can't believe this is happening I'm gonna puke this is so awesome!" Mahogany says all in one breath. "LOX, calm yourself." I say even though I was freaking out on the inside too.

There's 6 more people in front of us. My excitement can't be contained! Shawn's also up there with The Vamps. That'll make some of the MagCult here happy! Yep. That's right we already have a name for the fans. It's pretty dope, I know.

"Next!" A security guard comes over and removes the rope from in front of us. Holy shit we're here. "Hey loves!" Mahogany squeals and I smile really widely. "Hi guys we love you lots!" I say with enthusiasm. "Well loves, we're glad to meet you!" Oh my heart ahsswlsj. "Ave, Lox! Hey guys!" Shawn perks up. "You know these two lovelies?" Tristan asks (a/n drum player).

"Yea! This one's my girl." He smirks as he flings his arms around my waist. "And this one's Mahogany she's single by the way." He winks and LOX blushes. "Well let's get to posing before you guys have to go!" James says in a fun, bouncy tone.

"Okay so I would like to do one with me on each of your backs really quick please? If that's okay of course." I say politely. "Yea absolutely darling!" James says and they all agree. I hop on James' back and smile with my eyes closed and he kisses my cheek. I smile and blow a kiss at Shawn and wink. Then each of the guys do the same thing. Mahogany does a few poses and quickly I ask one more thing.

"Hey Brad! Can we do one with our foreheads together and lock our hands?" I ask kind of shyly, but I've always wanted to do it. "Sure thing!" We posed and I could feel his breath against my face. It reminds me of Shawn and I smile. I love that kid. After I hear the security guard say 5 seconds, I reach into my pocket and pull out 4 slips of paper. "This has mine and Mahogany's numbers on it. I know fans do this a lot, but text us." I smile as I hand each one of them a slip.

I skip over to Shawn and press my lips against his. His lips were so soft and gentle. He hugs me, bringing me deeper into the kiss and I start laughing. "What?" He smirks shyly. "Nothing, I just love you Shawn." Before either of us could say anything else I was pulled away by the guard and couldn't look back at Shawn.

"Sorry miss, but we have a tight schedule and I'm just doing my job to keep it." The guard says once we're at the door. "It's no problem. Make sure my boyfriend doesn't cry while I'm gone!" He laughs. "Like I haven't heard that one before." He continues laughing. He must've not seen us kissing. Jeez unobservamt ignorant pigs. Haha what? I didn't say that.

As Mahogany and I are getting inside an uber, I hear gunshots. Oh my God. No. No. No no no. "Mahogany! Those were gunshots! Oh my God! Shawn's in there! No! This can't be happening!" I start freaking out because this is so fucking unreal. Everything was fine 2 minutes ago! "Fuck! No! I can't- No!" I start shaking as I pull out my phone, Mahogany is just frozen and can't move.

I immediately call Shawn to see if he's okay. One ring... Two rings... Three rings.... Four rings... "Shit! He's not answering Mahogany!" I start crying. I dial 911 into my phone. "Hello? 911 what's your emergency?" At first I can't say anything because I'm all choked up. "Ma'am? I'm going to need you to talk." The operator says calmly.

"I- I just heard s- some gunshots from inside the venue. I'm- I'm at the Trees venue in Dallas. Please p- please hurry! I'm afraid some people are hurt!" I then hear gunshots again and scream. "Ma'am ma'am don't worry, they're already on their way. I'm going to need you to hurry and leave the premises. We don't want anymore casualties." I reluctantly agree and they reassure me that everything is going to be okay. I know it's not. I have a gut feeling. I can't lose my best friend... again. I push Mahogany into the car and jump in next to her. We start rambling to the uber driver. We eventually tell him the address of the hotel and he starts to drive off.
