Ava's POV

I wake up right next to Shawn. I reach into my back pocket and pull out my phone and check to see the time. 4:39 Okay, this is good. I'm catching up on sleep, somewhat. I get up slowly and carefully because ya know, Shawn missed out on a whole 2 years of pranks. I smirk to myself. I tiptoe down the stairs and grab a plastic cup, easier to dispose of evidence, bwahahahaha. I come upstairs quietly and go into my bathroom.

I fill up the cup with water, slowly because if you blast the water in this house it makes the loudest noise. Like a wave crashing. I walk out of the bathroom cup in hand and walk over to Shawn. Aw he looks so calm and peaceful. Let's ruin it. I dump the water all over Shawn's face and he wakes up gasping.

"Ave what the hell was that for?" Shawn semi-yells. And by now I'm on the ground rolling around clutching my stomach because I'm laughing so hard. And before I can make a move, Shawn gets up quickly and pins me down. "Ave 1, Shawn 1. We're tied now." He laughs and gets up and goes to get a towel from the bathroom.

I'm laughing and I go into the bathroom too. I get out my brush and brush through my hair. Then putting it in a high ponytail. I don't put on any make-up because it's all packed for the flight tomorrow. I'm so excited! I ask Shawn "Hey Shawn, since the majority of my clothing is packed away can we just quickly run over to your house to change? I feel so gross in these clothes right now." "Yea no problem Ave." He replies.

We walk over to his house and run up the stairs to his bedroom. "Mendes what can I wear?" He laughs and goes over to his closet. He takes something out and hides it behind his back. "What is it Shawn?!" I'm super excited to see what it is because he always used to get me small surprises and vice versa. "Well its not really a surprise, but I think you would look cute in it." He blushes and I smile and laugh slightly. He pulls it out and it's his merch.

I start laughing so hard. "HAHAHA SELF PROMO MUCH MENDES?!" I slowly stop laughing and he chuckles a bit too. "Well I just thought that you would look nice in it." He keeps blushing. And I do too a little but not enough for anyone to notice. "I gladly accept." I say with a smile and hug him. "I'm glad that you gladly accept." He says laughing. "Way to ruin the moment Mendes." I say.

I walk over to the side of the bed and put on the black leggings with Shawn Mendes printed in sky blue on the side of one leg. I pull over the hoodie with Mendes 98 on the back printed in white like a jersey. I walk over to Shawn who was too eagerly watching me pull over the hoodie. "Ya like what ya see Mendes? Take a picture it'll last longer!" We both laugh and I hug him again. "But seriously thank you I like it a lot!" I say with a warm smile. "No problem Ave anything for you." He smiles. "That'll be $48.98." He laughs really hard at the 'joke' he made. "Wow you seriously know how to wreck moods." I say and laugh.

"Hey Shawn before we go could we maybe have dinner tonight with Chloe, Julia, & Ben? I've missed them like crazy." I say hoping we could go to some place like Chili's where it's casual enough that I could wear what I'm wearing without being judged. "Absolutely! As a matter of fact it's about dinner time right now so why don't we go swing by each of their houses and pick them up!" He says enthusiastically. "Yah! That's a great idea Shawnie! Thank you thank you thank you!" I say holding out the last you. "Just let me do my hair really quick." No, I'm not going to take forever. I do a quick side-fishtail and walk out to put on my High Top Converse. He smiles and grabs his car keys.

We pull up to Julia's house first and I walk up to the door with Shawn in the car keeping the heater going. I ring the doorbell and wait a few seconds until I hear running footsteps down the stairs and am 'I'm coming' before a thunk. Julia opens the door rubbing her head and semi looking at the ground. "Hello?" She says. "What up ugly?!?" I yell and embrace her in the tightest hug that I have ever given anyone. "Ow ow. Who are- AVE?! Is it you?!" She says excitedly. I pull away and look back at Shawn laughing in the car. I stick my tongue out and turn back around to face Julia.

"Ave? What, how, when?" She asks stunned. "Well long story short, mom wanted to try some healthy living shit from a magazine while we were in France and that included no electronic devices. And mom and I are moving back here! We just got back yesterday evening." She looks happy but then I put a semi frown on my face and continue. "But Shawn and I are going on tour with this group called MagCon so we'll be gone for a while. And we leave tomorrow." I pause making a sincere apologetic look. "So I thought we could go out to eat tonight as a gang just like old times."

"Ave, that'd be so great and we can catch up before you have to leave again! I missed you so much." She engulfs me in a hug and I wrap my arms around and hug back. "Let me go grab a jacket and I'll be right back." She runs upstairs quickly and I stay in the porch half way in the house. Jules is a ginger with green eyes and semi-tan skin. She's beautiful. Julia was always into fashion so of course she goes and grabs a big puffy silver glitter coat thing. I roll my eyes and we head to the car.

The same thing happens when we pick up Chloe and Ben. Except when Ben and I hugged, I was facing the car and it looked like Shawn scoffed. But whatever I don't need to worry about Queen Shawn. Anyways, a little background on Chloe and Ben. Chloe is a gorgeous brunette with hair mid length and bright blue piercing eyes. She has flawless tan skin and I'm jealous. She's absolutely gorgeous. Ben has a brown quiff with blonde tips, a very structured face and tan skin. And last I knew, Ben and Chloe were dating. They are so cute together!

"Welcome to Chili's can I start your order off with some appetizers and drinks?" I got my way with Chili's, Ka-Chow! "I'll have a Shirley Temple." Shawn says politely. "I'll have the same." Julia and I say at the same time. We laugh a little. "And for you two?" The waiter asks intending the question for Chloe and Ben. "I'll have a Root Beer." Chloe says. "And the same." Ben agrees.

"Alright any appetizers?" "OH MY GOD YAH CAN WE GET SOME OF THAT QUESO OH MY GOD!" I practically squeal. And my table erupts laughing including the waiter. I look around and realize the main focus is on us. "Haha sorry, I just remembered and it sounds so good. I haven't had it in over 2 years." I blush slightly and laugh a little more. "Yah. No problem, I'll have your drinks and the queso out in a jiffy." "Thank you." Shawn replies.

Once everyone is done laughing, Julia says "So we came here to catch up before you guys leave right?" Shawn and I nod and smile brightly. My life is getting glued back together. I kinda needed this.
