House Call

Mitch had tried to call Scott for a few weeks now, he was only told that he couldn't come to the phone by a Kevin Olusula.

He sat at the table tiredly, he hasn't been sleeping lately. He's too worried about his husband. He's too scared that something terrible happened to him. Maybe he was just injured and he's recovering.

Mitch walked around the house sadly, hugging himself as he looked at all the pictures of him and Scott being all couple-y.

As he walked around, a knock on the door echoed through the house. Three to be percise. Mitch sighed and walked to the wooden front door in the old creeky house he and Scott lived it. It was convienent, especially after they got married.

Mitch answered the door to see a tall man in an army uniform, the same type of uniform Scott was wearing before he left. How could Mitch forget it. "May I help you?" Mitch asked kindly. "Our condolences." The man said softly as he held out a small envelope. Mitch took is shakily and watched them leave nervously.

Mitch walked into the dining room and sat down, setting the envelope in front of him as he held his stomach, starring at it nervously. "Please?" He whispered before shakily picking it up. The first sentence broke his heart.
