Chapter 15- Always be an Option

Clary's pov-

The whole ride over to the Salon Izzy was looking at me with a suspicious look that told me I wasn't getting away without telling her what was going on.

I just don't want to make all of this about me, you know? It's her wedding trip and here I am kicking up dirt with my ex and I feel as if we never get to focus on Izzy. Maybe I'll tell her that.

We arrived at the salon and all shuffled in the door. We had an appointment so the lady at the front of the store moved us to the chairs. As luck would have it, I was obviously sitting right next to Izzy...yay! Izzy sat down and looked over to me. "Start talking." She said.

"Let's go wash your hair!" said the man cutting my hair. He took me back and sat me down. "You are a life saver." I said to him. He laughed. "Why's that?" He asked. "She wants to know why I was crying before we left the hotel." He asked me why I was crying so I told him the story. The whole story, from the beginning.

"So last night, we had a little bit to drink. I wasn't wasted but it definitely helped me make a move on him. When we woke up, I started freaking out and we started arguing. I refused to talk about what had happened and where it left us and I went to walk out. He stopped me to tell me that if I walked out, then he was done with whatever we were. He said he can't keep running circles around me till I make up my mind, but I walked out anyway."

He nodded in understanding. "If I may ask, what are you afraid off with him? You're both done with college, now sounds like a perfect time to try again." I sighed. "We both just finished college, He's about to take over his fathers business and I'm starting a job at a graphic design company and I don't know where it'll take us."

We walked back to my chair to see that Izzy had went to get her hair washed. "So you still love him, but you both might be separated again but it's not a guarantee, and you don't want to give it another chance?" He questioned.

"It doesn't even matter if I did. It's not an option, he already said it's over anyway." I said dismissively. "Honey," he said putting a hand on my shoulder looking at me through the mirror. "He loves you, it will always be an option."

Izzy sat back down next to us and shot me an expecting look. "Iz I don't want you worried about my drama, you're about to get married, you don't need my drama clouding your mind." I told her wearily.

"Clary, darling, I'm getting married in less than two weeks, every little decision I make has me inching closer to insanity and if even ONE little thing goes wrong...I have the potential of having a mental breakdown. You telling me your drama only gives me a much needed distraction." She said tensely.

"Ok Iz, you wanna talk? Fine, Let's talk. I slept with your brother, didn't want to talk about it so he ended EVERYTHING!" I said. She looked at me with her mouth wide open.

"Oh." she replied quietly.

We talked about it for a little while longer before moving on to other topics such as the honeymoon.

When we finished, we left the salon with good luck wishes from James about my boy trouble. We loaded back into the van and made our way back to the hotel.

When we got to the hotel, I had to ask the front desk about some room service things, so everyone went up ahead of me. I couldn't help but feel as if something was about to happen.

I walked to the elevator and pressed the button. When I was waiting, a certain blonde came and stood next to me, waiting for the elevator as well. We both avoided any eye contact at all.

"Hi." I said quietly. "Heyyyy." He dragged out.

Awkward....

We stood in awkward silence for a few moments more before the elevator doors rang and opened up for us. We both sighed in relief and walked into the lift.

I watched at as the numbers counted up.

One...two...three...

I looked over at Jace to see that he was already looking at me.

It was as if someone flipped a switch. Jace pushed me against the wall, his lips colliding with mine. We kissed frantically, our tongues battling for dominance.

"We're done." He murmured against my neck. "I know," I replied breathlessly.

"which is why," I continued as my hands moved over his body, as if they didn't know where to go. "this is the last time this happens...This can't happen ever again." I finished, as he moved his way back up to my lips, no doubt leaving behind a red mark on my neck.

"Never." He conformed before meeting my lips once again. The elevator doors opened at our floor and we stumbled out, still kissing entangled in each other's arms. We reached his door and fumbled around to open it.

Once it was, we pushed inside and closed the door. Little did we know at the time, in the hallway....

Izzy and Simon we standing one door down from Jace's in the middle of the hallway, on their way to the lobby, shocked at what the just saw.

"20 bucks says they're back together before the wedding." Said Simon as he raised his eyebrows suggestively at Izzy. "20 bucks says after we get home." She replied with a smirk.

If only they knew, they couldn't be more wrong.

Bye Angels,
