Chapter 18- Made Only For You

Clary's pov-

I woke up with a beam of sunlight shining through the curtains. I rolled over in the bed and grabbed my phone. I saw that it was around 9:00am. I also had a text from Iz reminding me that we had our final fittings today at 12:00 and we were leaving at 11:30. Only four more days until the wedding so all the final preparations were being made.

I laid in bed for another half an hour before decided to get up. I jumped in the shower and made sure to take a long one, enjoying the feeling of the warm water on my skin. I started to get ready for the day, first getting an outfit then doing my make up.

I threw on some jeans and a cute, strapped tank top. I put in some blush colored heart earrings and did matching natural pink makeup. I grabbed my white purse and slipped on my sandals.

By now it was nearly 11:30 so I figured I should head down. I grabbed my room key, my phone, my wallet, and my sunglasses and put it all in my bag.  I quickly headed out the door to the elevator.

I reached the lobby and saw that almost everyone was down. I made my way over to izzy and made conversation until it was time to go.

We all loaded into the van and we were off. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the dress place, so we were right on time considering some people...*cough* *cough* john and Aline, made us leave late.

We got in and they sent us to the different sections. Another bridal party was taking up the main show area so we had to split into smaller two room sections.

Of course, since life hates me, my room is with Jace's. The rooms were across from each other with a large circular pedestal in the middle, in front of a mirror. We both walked into our separate rooms, which already had our clothes in them.

I quickly put on the peach colored dress and made my way out into the viewing area. I stepped up onto the pedestal and looked at myself.

Don't get me wrong, I love the dress. It's very pretty. I just don't think it looks very pretty on me. Despite being older and having filled out a little more, I still don't have curves. To me the dress looks like a straight line on me. It slightly follows my curves but I still look very straight-line-y in it.

Straight-line-y. Yep. Cause that's a word.

Jace walked out and I gave him a small smile. The tailor was making her way around to all of us so we had to wait for her.

I looked back at the mirror and smoothed the dress out and pulled at it trying to make it fit better on my body.

"What are you doing?" Jace asked me curiously watching me. "Trying to not look like a straight line." I told him frustratedly. He laughed a little at that. I rolled my eyes at him and he pushed off the wall where he was leaning.

"You don't look like a straight line Clary. You look perfect." He said looking at me through the mirror.

He came and stood behind me on the pedestal. His hands rested on my hips.

"The dress forms to you perfectly. It fits your curves amazingly." he said as his finger tips traced up and down my torso. All the way up, then all the way down. I nearly moaned at how his touch lit me up.

"This dress fits you like it was made for you, made only for you." He continued. I looked into his eyes from over my shoulder.

He started to lean down slowly.

"Ok! Sorry that took a while, are you guys ready?" The tailor asked. We stepped apart and Jace told her yes.

She quickly did some final tailoring to us and then told me to get changed and walk down with her to Izzy's room. She said the bride requested me.

I walked down with her into Izzy's dressing room. When I opened the door I gasped. "Izzy! It's perfect." Everything that needed fixing on the dress had been fixed and she looked like a goddess. "Simons going to love it!" I told her with a smile.

We talked for a little longer and she got my opinion on a few more things that she was concerned about. We finished with her dress and she got changed.

The dresses and tuxes would be delivered on the day of the wedding.

When we got back to the hotel Izzy and I went to sit out by the pool.

"So how are things progressing with Jace?" She asked suggestively. I sighed. "After we leave Hawaii, he's moving to California. Things aren't progressing." I told her sadly. She gave me a sympathetic look before changing the subject, knowing that I didn't want to dwell on it.

Even though I told him to go, it's still hard for me to let go of him. I would give almost anything for us to be together but the one thing I wouldn't give is his wellbeing. This is best for him and I would never stand in the way of that.

Bye Angels,
