dallon's gaze lingered on his old friend as he watched him smile and hold onto brendon. guilt still bubbling at the bottom of his chest as brendon would hold on a little tighter to him than usual. wishing he could at least stand near him again.

"hey, it's over now." a gentle hand was placed on top of dallon's, his eyes flickering from the hand to the soft expression his friend held. "yeah i know.." dallon moved his hand from under sarah's, them both pulling away. "i know how to get him off your mind," sarah began, scrolling through her phone, "her name's breezy, she's a gem."

ryan stared at brendon as tyler went on about how josh absolutely embarrassed them at the theatre. "it looked like he was bleeding from his scalp," tyler continued. brendon laughing as josh was blushing fiercely from embarrassment. "i told him that all the dye wasn't out." tyler said matter of factly. "how was i supposed to know it was going to be extremely warm in there?" josh tried to defend himself.

ryan smiled to himself, this was good. good things were coming. wether that meant him being with brendon for years to come, or them parting ways, he was looking forward to it. he leaned closer into brendon, watching his friends converse waiting patiently for the last bell to ring. "hey," brendon whispered to ryan, noticing his lack of attention, "you okay?" he asked, receiving a smile from his boyfriend. "absolutely perfect." ryan said confidently. brendon cooed at him hearing the final bell go,

"someone ask me what time it is." brendon chirped as cheers were heard throughout the school halls. ryan rolled his eyes and complied to his boyfriend. "what time is it brendon?" the taller smiled widely and began to sing, "its summer time it's our vacation!" the group laughed lightly as brendon was a fit of giggles. "you're the worst." ryan smiled, brendon kissed ryan sweetly as an apology. "i love you." brendon said against the smaller boy's lips, "i love you too."

the four of them began to walk out of the school slowly, them all reminiscing on their school year. they're home free, none of them could wait to go explore. ryan and brendon walked towards the doors joined by the hip, brendon's arm slung over ryan's shoulders, ryans own arm around his boyfriends waist.

his brown eyes scan over the school again, his gaze falling on the soccer player that he used to hang out with every friday night. he stopped as dallon looked back at him with a sympathetic smile, brendon finding his gaze and tightening his grip slightly. "wait for me?" ryan asked looking for his boyfriends approval. brendon nodded, giving him a protective kiss, looking at dallon straight after. "i'll be here." brendon confirmed, watching ryan walk towards dallon.

dallon's eyes widened in shock as he watched ryan walk to him. "hey, dal." the nickname made him smile in find as ryan stood there, "i uh, wanted to say thank you; for getting me and bren together and stuff, i owe it to you." ryan smiled. dallon gave him a tight smile shaking off the hurt. "no problem, you guys deserve each other, you're good people." dallon smiled remembering the good times the two had.

"hug?" ryan asked cheekily as dallon was getting his things to leave, dallon hesitated but brought ryan into a hug. "stay safe, would you?" ryan asked, knowing that dallon was a good kid. "you too, ry." they held each other for a few more moments. a silent goodbye.

they nodded at each other and parted ways for the last time. ryan came and hooked his arm back around brendon with a smile. "you good?" brendon resumed his position as well. ryan quickly gave brendon a kiss with a smile, "absolutely perfect." the two joined josh and tyler and made their way towards good times and hopefully happy endings.
