Fear Itself [ A Shoey Fanfic ]

Shane was slipping under. it pained me to see him that way. it was so upsetting to see him, lying there, unable to do anything but stare at the ceiling.

i walked in and sat down in a floral printed arm chair as the doctor left the bland room. i lightly stroked Shane's forehead and cooed. i was so worried about him. i wish i knew what had happened.

he grabbed my hand, i could see he was starting to fall under from the sedative. i gently kissed him on the forehead and walked out, dimming the lighting in the cold room.

as i walked out, my phone buzzed.

{ new message: Cat 🐱:

aye joeyanya how's Shane doing? tell him i said i hope he feels better! }

i slammed my phone back into my pocket reluctantly. i didn't want to talk about Shane right now, it was too painting. i walked around outside, beginning to pace in front of the large white hospital building, sirens blaring and birds chirping, not a sign if peace anywhere.

it seemed like i had been pacing forever. the sun began to fall under the green mountains, my toms had holes in the soles, i finally sat down to regain my sense.

one part of me said:

"you gotta go back in there, he needs you!"

yet another argued:

"dude, he ran off, he didn't need you, maybe he doesn't even want to be with you!"

i thought about this until it was pitch black outside, the street lights were on, a couple joggers, but nothing more.

i finally managed to walk into the hospital, take the elevator up to the room, walk into room 515 and sit back down in the chair.

i couldn't bare to see him like this, alone as well. i lay down on the long couch by the window and closed my eyes, tired and worn out from stressing out all day.

i awoke at about 6:30 a.m, or as my phone said, to doctors herding all around Shane with medical tools.

"what's going on?!" i managed to utter, half asleep.

one of the doctors turned to me a said,

"we're losing him."
