Chapter 2 - Introducing Me

Reery's POV

" Hi! You can call me "Reery". I'm 15 years old. My full name is..."

"Reese Naveen Avery Salazar." Ang basa po dyan eh (Ris Ney-vin Ey-ve-ri) Yes. Sorry po ang haba ng pangalan ko. Ewan ko din kina mommy. Pero si kuya din naman eh. Malalaman niyo mamaya ang full name ni Kuya Rob. Haha.

"Reese as in chocolate na "reese's"?" Parang gulat na gulat si Ma'am Panaligan. Haha.

"Yes, ma'am. That's my mom's favorite chocolate!"

"Oh, I love that too." Suddenly, parang nagdaydream si ma'am na nasa factory siya nun. Haha.

"But do you know what's the meaning of your name Naveen?"

"In french, the meaning of my name is "new"." Ayun ang alam ko. Curious din kasi ako sa name ko. Masyadong unique.

"Naveen is a unisex name of Celtic or Gaelic origins, which means 'beautiful; pleasant'. It is used in most English speaking countries, has two syllables and a numerological value of seven, implying that a person named thus, is 'spiritual, eccentric, and a bit of a loner'." Pag eexplain ni ma'am. She really knows a lot. :))

"But ma'am, she's not a loner. Even a little bit? Nah ma'am. We're always hereeeeee." sabi ni Joeey sabay smile. Eto talagang "sweet girl" na to ang sweet. Haha.

"But Naveen fits in you, Reery. You look so pleasant and beautiful." sabi ni pierre. SANA. Pero si Ma'am Panaligan yung may sabi.

"Yes, ma'am. And it is a numerological value of 7, right?" tanong ni Alex kay Ma'am. Alexandra not Alexander. :(( Hahaha.

"Yeah. What's with that number?"

"Ma'am, I was born on the 7th." sabi ko. Haha. Kanina pa din akong nakatayo sa unahan tapos singit naman ng singit yung mga friends ko. Haha.

"Oh what month?" tanong ni ma'am.

"October ma'am. I was born on the 7th day of October, 1998. My zodiac sign is Libra. :))" Haha. Pati zodiac sign ko sinabi ko na.

"Is it just a coincident or it was written on your stars, Miss Naveen?" sabi ni Ma'am. Nagtaka ako. Bakit? Nagkataon daw o nasa stars? Bakit daw?

"Why Ma'am? What was written in the stars?" I curiously asked. I was so eager to know what was behind the "written in the stars" thing.

"Did you know that it is the seventh sign of the zodiac? The meaning of your name is the number seven. Your parents did a research about your name while you're still in your mom's tummy, didn't they? Haha." Ohh. Ang galing nga. Hindi ko din talaga alam meaning ng pangalan ko except dun sa "new". Ang dami ko agad natutunan kay Ma'am. :))

"Let me guess. Class, you know Naveen very well since y'all classmates since first year. Tell me if I'm right." patuloy ni Ma'am.

"Is Naveen artistic, communicative, intellectual and concerned with relationships?" biglang tanong ni Ma'am sa klase tapos may dinagdag pa siya bago masagot ng mga kaklase ko.

"I know that she is artistic because she always compete and win against different schools. She always bring the bacon home. She is also intelligent because she is always one of the top 10 in the past 3 years. But I wanna know if my guess is right except for my proven hypothesis." Nagulat ako sa sinabi ni ma'am pero medyo nakakaflattered kasi.

"Ma'am, she's very talkative. What we mean is communicative." sabi ng mga kaklase ko. Haha. Talkative talaga eh.

" I see. I'm looking forward for your name in the list of noisy students." What? May maglilista ng noisy ngayong fourth year? Grade 4 pa ata ako nung may naglilista ng ganun at syempre ako ay nakalista dun. Hehehe.

"Just kidding. You're not in elementary anymore. In fact, all of you will be college students soon. Only 10 months remain in your highschool life," napansin ata ni Ma'am yung pagtataka ko. At napaalala na naman yung last months namin sa highschool. Pero may plano na talaga ako. Magawa ko kaya yung mga yun. Sana. Inubos ko ang bakasyon ko para dun eh.

"Miss Naveen, back to you. As a Libra. Are you concerned in relationships?" Wew. Parang miss universe lang eh.

"Yes, ma'am. I always want to make new friends. Friendship is really important for me. My friends are my siblings but we have different parents. :D"

"When my parents argue, I make sure that they're gonna be okay with each other as soon as possible. I always wanted to have a happy family and I'm so thankful that He gave me such." sabi ko na lang. Family and friends talaga muna ang handa akong magkaron ng relationship eh.

"Very well said, Miss Naveen..."

"Salazar. :))" Pagtutuloy ko sa sinabi ni Ma'am dahil mukhang nakalimutan niya yung surname ko. Hahaha.

"Salazar. Salazar. You're the younger sister of Rob, right? What's his full name again? He also has a long name like yours. Hahaha." Naalala niya si kuya. Haha. Sa bait ba namang estudyante non.

"Yes, Ma'am. My kuya's full name is Renfred Oskar Blaint Salazar. Rob for short." Renfred means peacemaker. Grabe. Ang galing talagang gumawa nina mommy ng name. Match na match kasi kay kuya.

"Yes. Yes. I remember him. The most handsome and a wise student of mine, two years ago. Regards to him." Handsome daw? Pati si ma'am. Haha. Crush si kuya ng mga friends ko pero alam naman nilang may "ate marge babe" na si kuya. :))

"Sure ma'am Panaligan!" I flashed a smile.

"Alright. Class, just call me "Ma'am P". You may sit now Miss Naveen. That was a long introduction that became a discussion about your name and relationships. Haha."

"Okay class, let's meet the new transfer student. Mr. Romero?" sabi ni Ma'am P.

Sino naman kaya si Mr. Romero? 4th year na tsaka pa nagtransfer? May kakilala na kaya siya dito?

Yan ha. Kilala niyo na si Reery. Naveen ang tawag sa kanya ni Ma'am P. May meaning po talaga yung pangalan ni Reery. :)) Wait. Sino nga ba si Mr. Romero? Sino siya sa story na ito? Abangan sa next UD. :))
