Chapter nine

Kevin and his wolf aka Seth above^^^

Bethany's POV

Kevin had passed me and was ahead of me. I am a very competitive person, especially when I was in wolf form. So when he turned over to me I gave him a smirk and jumped on his back. He fell to the ground and I pinning him down. He gave me the puppy eye look and whined he looked so adorable. I tilted my head to the side and licked his face. "Bethany May Morgan what the hell are you doing!! He is not our mate! So get off him or I will hurt him!" Phoenix screamed at me. "Listen up Phoenix, you aren't hurting no one so back the hell off! He is my best friend and you won't do nothing to him. And if I recall our stupid mate ran away from us without looking back." I screamed back. Kevin was there for me since day one. He is the future beta, he's suppose to be close to me. Since we were little we were inseparable best friends, he's been there for me in bad and good. At first I felt a over protective brother bond, but lately I've been thinking about him more than often. I couldn't get him out of my mind. So I wasn't going to no one touch him. "He had to leave Beth... why else would he leave us.." Phoenix said sounding broken. "Are you telling me this or are you trying to convince yourself??" I told Phoenix, probably if I wasn't mad at her I wouldn't have said that but she threatened to hurt Kevin. Once I said that to her, she whimpered and blocked me out. I looked down to see Kevin, well Seth Kevin's wolf, looking at me confused. I got off of him and went over to my clothes. I shifted and changed then went back to Kevin. He had shifted and put on shorts. Kevin was shirt less and he looked incredibly hot.. He saw me starring at his body and smirked. I blushed and walked over to the pack house with him. "Well I guess this is good bye." I said as we walked up the stairs to get to the door. "Ok goodnight, sweet dreams." He said and kissed me on my cheek and left inside. I was shocked and couldn't move for a while until my dad came outside. "Bethany why did you take so long I was getting worried." He said as I remembered what had just happened with my beautiful mate... "Um yea sorry dad... I got caught up." I said in a low voice. "Ima go to my room now my head is hurting." I said and walked passed him and went into my room. I grabbed my pjs and took a warm shower. I got out and went to lay on my bed. Maybe what Phoenix was telling me was the truth, maybe he was busy and was obligated to leave. Yea that was probably it. I'll find him and ask him myself. With the thought of finding him I drifted off to a dreamless night.
