Chapter 19

It's been awhile since Tom stormed off. Edd and Matt waited patiently for him. Then Edd asked, "Do you think he's okay? Maybe we should go find him..." he looked like he was getting worried. "Maybe...but let's wait a little longer..." Matt replied. They stayed silent for less than a minute and then Matt said, "Okay, let's go find him." They got up and walked out of their room. "Where should we go first?" Matt asked. Edd said, "You go to the left side of the base, i go through the right side. And we'll circle around back to here, okay?" "okay. Let's go." They went their ways to find Tom.

"Excuse me, sir. But have you seen a man with no eyes walk past by here?" Matt asked a random solider. They just shrugged and walked away. Matt sighed. Time to ask another! He said cheerfully in his head, as if this was some game he was playing with Tom and Edd. Who ever finds Tom wins. Who ever doesn't looses. But what if neither of them find him? Well, I guess that means Tom wins. But, let's just hope one of them finds him.

Tom stayed at his spot, looking at the sky and what was farther away. He would rather be sleeping right now, sleep this whole 'adventure' away. Or grab a gun and shoot all his problems away. (references-) But, that would mean he would have to deal with, everyone. As much as he loved his friends, he sometimes got annoyed with them. It's nice to be alone, but not all the time. He heard a faint sound of someone yelling, "Tom!" Sounds like Edd... Tom thought. He didn't look behind him, just waited for Edd to get to him. "There you are! We've been looking all over for you!" Edd said now behind Tom and with a breath every now and again. He must've ran to Tom. "Why do worry, Edd?" Tom asked, not knowing why he'd go that far to search the base just to find him. "Because...You're my friend." Edd answered. Wind started to blow a cool breeze, bringing dark clouds with it. They both looked up and thought the same thing, Rain. "We should go back." Edd suggested. Tom sighed and nodded. He got up and walked back to the base with Edd.

They met Matt back at their room. "Yay! Tom! You're alive and you don't look completely drunk!" Matt cheered happily. "I was going to get drunk, but Tord took my beer." Tom explained. "Good thing he came, you probably would've been really drunk by the time I would've got there." Edd said smiling a bit and opening a can of cola. "Where did you get that can of cola?" Tom asked. "I have my ways..." "Okay then. So, you have random cans of cola sitting in your hood or something?" "Pretty much." "That partly explains why your hoodie smells like cola all the time." Tom said. "How do you know what my hoodie smells like?" Edd asked suspiciously obviously joking. "Maybe because we all literally sit on the same couch? Plus it's a strong smell too." Tom explained. "Oh...maybe I should stop trying to wash it with cola...and bacon..." Edd said looking at his hoodie joking. They all laughed a bit, then sat down at the couch and turned on the TV.

"You...did...what?!" Tord yelled in frustration to a lab person. "I-I just took some of T-Tom's blood that's all...since he is the only one we haven't checked yet to see if he's sick form the side effects from T-the-" The guy stuttered out of fear, but Tord cut him off. "And you did it without permission?" Tord hissed with anger. "I expected better." "B-but...S-sir! Don't you want to see the results? Th-they are kinda im-impo-" "Not right now. I have other things to do at the moment." Tord started to walk towards the lab door to leave. "W-wait, si-" Tord already left. The lab person looked at the results, it wasn't good. It said on the paper:
'Tom.
The Memory Eraser Gun M.E.G side effects test.
Side effect 1; Negative.
Side effect 2; Positive.
Side effect 3; Positive.
Side effect 4; No answer.
Side effect 5; Negative.'

You won't know what side effect is what. Yet.
Because I'm mean like that.
