Tord sent out some soliders to search for that one dude.
"I feel like we should have a name for that guy..." Matt said while waiting for Tord to get back. "What? The black coat guy? Well, I guess it's kinda stupid to keep calling him that. Any ideas for a nickname?" Edd suggested. The three of them thought.
Then Tammy said, "B-bob? N-n-no... nev-never mind..."

"Terry?" Edd asked

Matt suggested, "Sheldon?"

"W-Wendy..?"
Matt and Edd looked at Tammy. "Wendy? Isn't that a girl's name?" Asked Matt. "Y-you don't kn-kn-know if h-h-he has a 'girl's name'! How d-do-o you even know i-if he's even a guy?"
They looked at each other. "He has a point..." Edd said.
"H-how about w-we just call th-th-them... Laser? Be-because th-they have a l-laser g-g-gu-gu-gun."
"Hmmm... sure." Matt agreed. So did Edd.

Meanwhile,

Tord and Tom were on top of the base. Tord was looking around the ground, where the soliders were looking. "You don't think he'll get in, do you?" Asked Tom. "Of course not!" Tord answered. Then he added, "If he does, I'll kill him." No response right away. But then, "Do you think he's after Tammy? I mean, he does have some extra features for..." Tom didn't know how to continue his sentence, so he just said, "hurting people. Maybe he wants his technology, I don't know..."
Tord glanced at Tom and said hesitantly, "I don't think it's about Tammy. and if it is... how would he have known about him? ...Unless Tam is right, someone in this base is helping him."

Then there was another voice, "Sir, sorry to interrupt, we didn't find anything great... but, we did find this" The solider handed Tord a tiny old piece of green fabric. Tom starred at it, confused.
Then he graded it out of Tord's hands. "Rude" Tom examined it. Then he smelled a cola scent from it. "I think this is just a piece of Edd's sweater... where was it?" Tom asked the solider. The solider answered, "In the woods."
"Why would Edd be in the woods?" Tord asked.
"Maybe we should go ask him. I'm sure he has a reason... probably."

They went back into the lab. Matt instantly asked, "Did you find anything out about Laser?" "Laser?" Tom asked confused. "I-it's just a ni-nick-nickname for th-the b-b-bl-black co-co-co-" Tammy was interrupted by Tom, "The black coat guy. Also, Tammy, your glitch is getting a bit-" "I - i'm f-f-f-fine! Wh-what did you f-find?"

Tom gave Tord the fabric. "It was this. It was found in the woods." Tord showed it to the three. "It smells like cola. and it's green. Sound familiar?" Everyone looked at Edd. "O-oh! So th-that was the sm-smell!" Tammy said as if he has been trying to figure it out for weeks.
"Guys, I wasn't in the woods. Plus that green is faded and dirty." Edd pointed out.
"Well, who else wears green and drinks cola?" Tord asked

"I'm sure a lot of people!" Edd said

"Name 3"

"Uh...-"
Tom interrupted (again), "Tord, you're going kinda hard on him. If he says he wasn't in the woods, he wasn't in the woods. He's our friend and I doubt he would lie"
"I guess you're right..." Said Tord.
"Of course I'm right. Now come on, Tammy."
"Wha- where a-are we g-go-going?"
Tom went to the door, and Tammy followed. "To get your glitch fixed." "D-... T-too-oommm!"
Tom sighed, "Come on, it'll be better to speak once it's finished..." He opened the door. "You kn-know how mu-much it hu-hurts!" Tammy whined. Tammy feels pain..? Edd wondered. Guess you learn something new everyday. "Don't worry, just don't think about the pain, okay?" Then they walked out.

"How... how much does IT hurt?" Matt asked Tord. "What does?" Tord asked as if he wasn't listening to Tom and Tammy. Probably wasn't. "You know, what Tammy was talking about. Getting his glitch fixed." Edd said. "Oh, that. From our understanding, it's not a joyful experience. When he was in his beta stages, he couldn't even talk then, he wouldn't go into the room where we did it. We either had to trick him, or turn him off then back on." He explained. "Wait, he's still turned on while they're fixing him?" Edd asked, feeling kinda bad. "He has to be. Or else it leaves him with a really glitch-y voice. Barely understandable. He has to get his voice box fixed a lot, since his voice keeps glitching. And if we just leave it, it gets worse." Terrible... Edd couldn't feel but sad.
Isn't it bad that he's learning pain and anger before he learns happiness?
