Chapter 20

While Tom watching TV with his friends, his nose randomly started to bleed. Matt noticed and looked at his with worry. "Are you okay, Tom?" He asked. "Yeah, yeah...I'm fine." Tom answered while walking to the bathroom. Edd looked at Matt, he looked back. "It's...just a nose bleed..." Edd said trying to reassure himself and Matt. But, that didn't help Matt at all. He knew why Tom had a bleeding nose, and he hoped Tom didn't have any other side effects. "Matt?" Edd snapped him back to reality. "You seem really worried...is everything oka-" Matt cut him off and answered quickly, "Yeah, everything's fine!" Edd started to get suspicious. "You have been a bit off ever sinc-" Tom came back into the room. No bleeding nose. He sat back into his spot on the couch. "You okay Tom?" Edd asked. "I'm fine. It's just a nose bleed." "Yeah...just a nose bleed..." Matt repeated to himself quietly. "What was that, Matt?" Edd asked looking at him. Matt hesitated, "Um...I said, 'Good thing it was just a nose bleed!'...heh..." "Right..." Edd started getting more suspicious, so did Tom. They all looked at each other awkwardly until, "Now back to, The Cats!" Said a male voice on the TV.

"Ready, Red Leader?" Said a girl in a lab like coat. "Yes. Activate." Tord ordered. The girl pulled a lever. They both looked towards a big window that led to a big white room. It seemed like nothing was in it at first, then black like smoke went into the room. "Throw one of them in." Tord ordered. "But sir...wouldn't that kill th-?" The girl got cut off. "I said, throw one of them in." He repeated. "Yes sir..." She pressed a button and there was thump that came from the sealed room. More thumps, as if whatever was in there was trying to get out. The thumping started to slow down. Then, it stopped completely. Whatever was in there, it's gone now. "Check if it's dead." Tord said. The girl nodded and pressed another button. The smoke started fading away and when it was gone, they could see ash on the white room's floor. "Good job. This will be useful in the future." Tord said while walking away.
