Chapter 33

For some reason, Tom woke up in a place filled with darkness. It was the same place where he talked to that boy. Weird... He glanced around and saw nothing. "Hello..?" His voice echoed through the darkness. He started walking around but it felt like he wasn't going anywhere. As if he was on a treadmill. But he stopped when he seen a red hoodie not too far off. Tord..? What's he doing here?

Tord looked around in the endless darkness. Soon, he caught eyesight with Tom. Tom..? What's he doing here? He slowly started walking towards him. Tom also stated walking.

When they got in front of each other, Tom said, "Have any idea where we are?" "Nope..." Tord replied putting his hands in his pockets glancing around. Then, out of no where, a white light appeared. It wasn't too bright, you could look at it without burning your eyes out of your skull. It randomly started to change its colour to lilac. It slowly spread to the rest of the darkness, it now looked like a night sky filled with stars and light. "Whoa...what was that all about?" Tom questioned. Tord shrugged. "It looks nice..." He commented. Tord smiled while looking up at the obviously fake stars. Tom seemed to have zoned out, he stared at the ground, for some odd reason. Tord noticed and said, "Tom." He didn't move. "Tom." Tord poked Tom's face. Tom flinched and looked at him. "Why did you poke me?" "Because..." "'Because' isn't an answer." "I know." Tord smiled. Tom rolled his nonexistent eyes. Or maybe they are existent, I don't know. Tom looked at the 'stars'. "Well, this is weird." He commented. "Yeah..." Tord said back.

"I don't know why we're here right now." Tord said after a moment looking a bit confused. "Me neither... wanna try to get out of here?" Tom glanced at Tord. "Sure, but...it looks like this place is an endless loop..." Tord pointed out looking around. "How do you know that?" Questioned Tom. "I tried walking around before I seen you appear out off no where and I passed the same piece of dust 15 times." Tord explained. "How do you know it was the same dust?" Tom asked not buying it. "I just know." "uh-huh..." (Tord logic)

Tord rolled his eyes. "I don't want to walk around this place for forever...have any other ideas than just walking?" Tord asked. Tom thought for a moment then grabbed something in his hoodie. "What are you getting?" Asked Tord. "Found it." Tom said Ignoring Tord's question. He pulled out his phone and turned it on. "What are you going to do with that?" Tord asked crossing his arms. "I'm going to call Edd, that's what I'm going to do with it." Tom said pressing the 'call' button on his phone. When it stopped ringing, all Tom heard was static. Tom hanged up. "What was that..?" He asked himself. "What happened, Thomas?" "...It was just....static..." Tom said a bit confused. "Static..?" Tord asked to clarify. "Yes, static." "Like under a tunnel static?" "What's the difference?" "I was just wondering..."

They were silent for a few moments. "What now?" Tord asked. Tom shrugged. "My plan failed." More silence. "Gah! Seriously, guys?" A voice of a little boy echoed. "I honestly thought my plan would work...y'know...with the stars and stuff..." He sighed sadly. "Oh well, I guess that was a fail...I'm sorry for the waste of your time." A sound of someone snapping their fingers echoed and the stars disappeared. "I guess you would all be going now..."  "Wait a second!" Tord said. "Hm? Yes, Tord?" "...What is exactly happening..?" Tord questioned. "Heh...you'll find out soon enough."

Tord woke up in his office. That was...weird... He thought to himself rethinking the dream. Or, at least he thought it was a dream. Tord got up and stretched, he slept in a very awkward position. He walked out of his office on his way to Tom.

Tom rubbed his head in confusion of what just happened. Then, he heard a knock on the door. He stumbled to the door and opened it, Tord. "Had that dream, too, huh?" Tord asked. Tom nodded. Tord walked in while Tom closed the door. "What a weird dream..." Tom commented. Even though it was really clear that they both knew that. "It didn't feel like a dream." Tord said. "Then what did it feel like then?" Tom crossed his arms. Tord shrugged then said, "It felt real...in a way..." Tom sighed. "Let's just trust the boy for now and hope we'll find out what that's all about soon." Tom said. "Um...okay..." Tord agreed. They doubted that they'd find anything out on their own. So, they'll just wait for now. But they still wondered why they were in that dream place.
