"Why are you making me do this?" Sydney has been whining and complaining to me ever since we left my place this morning. "How can I live for a week while avoiding your Dad at all cost?"
"Please Syd? I owe you my life. I swear I will repay you." I was pleasing to her beside the bus that the team is going to use.
Sydney placed her hands on her hips, "When?"
"I don't know yet. Someday?" I gave her a smile and a big hug as everyone started to board the bus. "I'm going now. Thanks Syd!"
She angrily yelled after me as I got inside and waved at her from the window. The driver asked for everyone to be seated and all of our things in it's proper places. The bus is quite small, considering our number and so it was mostly full by the time the person before me took a seat. I spotted Mark at the back. Alone. He looked at me and I avoided him as always. It was his fault that he's alone. Nobody asked him to join the team now he'll be with us the whole week. I noticed that Yoongi was alone in his row so I put my bag beside him.
He lifted his head from his phone and looked at me, "Sorry Vee but that seat is taken."
"Really? By who?" I asked, confused because everyone was seated already.
"By me." Yoongi replied, "Sleeping in a sitting position is hard so I'm gonna need this extra space to curl up."
"That's not fair." I told him. "What about me? Where do I sit?"
"You can sit with the new guy at the back." Yoongi craned his neck to look at the back where Mark was seated alone. "Or.." He smiled, "You can be seat mates with Jungkook."
I looked again at Mark who was minding his own business on his phone, probably checking if his popularity has gone down since he decided to lay low. There's no way I'm going to put myself beside him for five hours. No. Freaking. Way. Then, would I rather sit with Jungkook?
"Everyone settled?" The couch was at the very front row. He saw me still standing idly and called my attention, "Venus, we're about to go. Take a seat."
"Uh, yeah." I answered absent mindedly, making Mark look at me as I made my way towards Jungkook. I put my things beside his on the floor and he pulled one earphone out of his ear.
"What are you doing?" He asked as I took a seat.
"Sitting." I answered him, making myself comfortable even though I'm not.
"I know that." He sharply responded. "What I meant was, why are you sitting here?"
"There's no other seat available." I told him. "I'll be quiet. Don't worry. I won't even talk to you."
Jungkook faced the other way and pulled the hood of his jacket over his head, "It's okay if you talk.. just don't be too loud. I'm going to sleep."
After three hours, everyone was either asleep or busy with their phones. Jimin and V sat across us. Jimin was curled up by the window, sleeping, his hair that used to be pink was now a toned down peach. Meanwhile, beside him was V, watching his dramas on his phone. I could tell by the look on his face that he's totally engrossed in it. Beside me, Jungkook has been in the same position since we left. How can he sit still like that? My butt would've screamed at me for torturing myself. He seemed deeply asleep.
It was raining heavily outside even though the weather forecast this morning stated that there will be no rain clouds today. Apparently not. And then all of a sudden, the bus jerked to a stop. My face would've hit the seat before me if I wasn't able place my arms in front of me. The jolt made everyone curious so it began to get noisy again.
