"Syd, are you ready?" I pulled on my best friend's leg as she was still asleep because we had a late night watching our favorite movies. She made a sound that didn't sound like a humans as she turned her back to me. "Come on, Sydney Grace! Today's the day! We finally get some time together. Just the two of us!"
"I know.. but can I sleep more? Just 5 minutes more?" She groaned, still unable to open her eyes.
"Syd. We need to be productive. Let's start the day right." I got off the bed and put my hands on my hips, grabbing the blankets and pulling them off her.
Her phone chimed when a notif came and she sat up immediately, digging under the blanket like a dog digging for a bone and searching under the pillows for her phone. She grabbed it and stared at the message from her boyfriend. I swear my jaw almost dropped as I watch her grinning, "Sydney Grace!"
"What?" Syd said, playing innocent while looking at me. "Jimin texted me Good morning."
"I said Good morning just two minutes ago and you didn't even bother to open your eyes but when Jimin sends a text, you jump like there's no tomorrow?" I gave her a look. "I feel hurt."
"Oh come on, it's not a big deal." Sydney leaves the bed and pushed me into the bathroom so we can brush our teeth together. "You have a boyfriend too. He probably messaged you already."
"Shh." I put my hand over her mouth, listening for sounds outside of my room to check if my Dad is already up. "You can't mention that word around my Dad."
"Relax. Your secret is safe." She said, grinning. "He messaged you, didn't he?"
"No." I replied and retreated to the bathroom before she asks me why Jungkook doesn't text me first thing in the morning. Honestly, I also have no idea. I envy Sydney though. She got lucky with Jimin. He's like the perfect boyfriend every girl are dreaming of.
Jungkook is perfect too. In his own way. I shouldn't think like this. Everyone is different. I mean, every girl in school dreams of getting a boyfriend like Jungkook too. Okay, that's exaggeration. Maybe not every girl because let's face it, he's can be a real jerk sometimes.
I put a pea sized amount of toothpaste on my dry toothbrush. Syd did the same but she has this thing of wetting her toothbrush first. I don't really get it. She was still on the topic of Jungkook as I started to brush my teeth and nod at every thing she says.
"He'll text you soon. He's just probably a late sleeper so he might still be sleeping right now." Sydney said and I nodded. We continued to brush our teeth and washed our faces before we prepared to go out of my room.
"Oooh, that's a cute hoodie." I told her when she came out the bathroom wearing a black oversized hoodie.
