As soon as we began walking Dally said, "So babe, how was your flight?" He swung his arm over my shoulders.
I was all of a sudden feeling uncomfortable. I mean Dally is cute and all, but I just met him this doesn't feel right.
I said, "W-what did you just call me?" He said, "Babe?" I said, "Ooh."
I looked away avoiding eye contact and slowly took his arm off me.
He said, "What's the matter?" I said, "Nothing, it's j-just that I just met you."
He said, "Oh I see." I looked ahead to see that we have stopped at a house with a fence around it.
He said, "Were here." I followed him as he walked right inside the house. He didn't knock? That was pretty rude.
He said, "Ok listen up guys! Bucks niece is in town so I wanted you guys to meet her."
I slowly came from behind Dally. I could not believe how many guys were there! Six to be exact!
I looked down the whole time. I wasn't being rude or stuck up I'm just really shy.
Dally elbowed me to say something I guess. So, I let out a quiet, "Hi."
Dally said, "Guys this is Dixie. Dixie that's Soda, Steve, Johnny, Ponyboy, Darry and oh that guy in front of the tv is Keith."
Keith looked up at me and I could not believe my eyes! He was the cutest boy I have ever seen!
He had rusty-colored sideburns. His eyes were gray and he had a wide grin on his face.
I couldn't tell if my cheeks were red but every time I like someone or I get nervous I blush.
Keith looked up at us and said, "It's Two-bit." Dally said, "That's not your real name though. It's Keith."
Dally turned towards me and said, "Call him Keith." Two-bit said, "Dixie, don't listen to him."
I quietly said, "Ok." When he smiled, it felt like everything stopped to have that perfect moment.
Dally went one by one and introduced me to everyone. There was Soda the one with movie star good looks and charm.
Then, there was Ponyboy the book and sunset lover. Next, was Johnny he was super sweet and quiet like me.
I knew we would get along great. Then there was, Steve he was not quiet at all and looked tuff.
Last would be Darry, he was super tall and muscular which kind of scared me but he was really nice.
Overall the gang was super nice. I just wish I wasn't as shy as I was.
I looked at the mysterious box that played movies and Two-bit just couldn't take his eyes off of it.
There was a mouse on the box and his friends. He had a lot of friends! Every time Two-bit would laugh, I would smile.
He has put me under a spell. His hair and his eyes are just so amazing though how could you not like him?
He looked behind him to see me watching him. I quickly looked away my cheeks dying of redness.
He smiled and said, "Hey Dixie you ever watched Mickey?" I shook my head 'no' and he said,
"If you haven't watched Mickey, you haven't lived."
I looked on with him at the screen box. I think Dally called it a tv earlier. I've never had a tv.
I mean I did when I was littler but my dad smashed it with a bat when I was four years old.
Two-bit was right. Mickey was funny. We both laughed together which was amazing.
Every time I saw him look at me it just felt right like I belonged here. Maybe moving here wasn't such a bad idea after all....
