!!!!!!!SO EXCITING

HARRY

The day it happened was just like any other day. A few weeks early, I'd give you that, but everything was going just the way it would. I was at work, Liv was at home. It was a phone call I had been waiting for but never really expected it to happen.

"Babe," She had said. "Babe it's happening." I don't remember what I did or said, I just remember getting the hell out of there and speeding home, somehow without a ticket. I helped her breathe down the stairs as she cried out in pain with every step and she squeezed my hand as hard as she could as I told the doctor.

"Breathe, baby, in through your nose out through the mouth, just like those videos told you." I tried so hard to comfort her but it felt like we were hitting every red light possible. "Happy place, happy place."

"Oh my god, Harry," Her eyes squeezed shut and she tightened her grip on my hand.

"We're almost there, I promise," I squeezed her hand back. There were so many emotions flowing. I'm going to be a father. I called mum and she and Gemma were on their way from their hotel. We pulled into the hospital and I helped Liv inside before they put her in a wheelchair and I followed the doctors hastily down the hallway.

They sat Liv down and she changed into a gown, and lied back. The doctor looked to me. "She's already eight centimeters dilated. Are her parents coming? It's going to be soon." He told me as Liv cried out in pain, reaching for my hand.

"My mum and sister are, her parents aren't around," I explained, feeling Liv squeezing me as she took her medication.

"Are they coming?"

"They're on their way -"

"We're here!" Mum called, bustling through the door. She sat on the other side of Liv and Gemma next to me. Gem looked a little scared, probably more scared than I was. Liv was shouting words and phrases I'd never heard, her grip on my hand assuring.

"You're doing so great baby, I'm so proud of you," I promised her, kissing her sweat coated hand.

"Nine centimeters," The female doctor said.

"Jesus," I heard Gemma whisper as mum and I comforted her.

And then the doubt kicked in. I can't do this. I can't be a father, I'll ruin everything and nothing will go right. I felt a tear slip down my cheek and then Gemma's small hand covered mine, squeezing.

"Breathe." She told me, and then it was okay.

"Here we go," Dr. Bridges called. "Olivia, on the count of three I need you to push as hard as you can, alright?" Liv nodded, squeezing my hand. "One, two, three." Liv cried out, squeezing my hand as she pushed.

They pushed a few more times and through all the frantic mess, a small cry was heard. A small cry that was half of me, sending chills throughout my body. My baby is here. My baby is alive and breathing, my baby is crying.

"A few more big pushes, Olivia," They told her and she just went for it, pushing for as long as she could. I could see Marina now, I could see her small fragile body in that doctors hand. "We're good! She's out!" Olivia looked to me and smiled, the most assuring smile I'd ever seen in my whole life. The whole process I just went through lasted a total of two hours, so much quicker than expected.

"Would the daddy like to cut the chord?" Dr. Bridges gave me scissors as they took Marina to clean her and showed me where to cut. I leaned down and kissed Olivia, feeling her smile against me.

"You did amazing, I'm so proud of you," We all hugged her as the brought Marina back in and placed her into Liv's arms. She already has dark hairs on her head, like I did. My baby.

They took our picture and I was told to go get Liam from the waiting room. When I stepped out, though, it wasn't only Liam. Next to him was Zayn, Stacy, Anna, and Josh. They all shut up when they saw me.

"It's a girl."

Three words had everyone up and cheering, hugging me. Even Zayn and Stacy. "Come on, come on in," I opened the door and asked Liv if she minded. When she said no, everybody came in and shared this moment of bliss with us. Liv carefully handed Marina to me, and as soon as she was settled against my chest, her eyes opened. How could something ever be so small, so fragile? She has no idea how cruel the world can be, she's less than ten minutes old. She's got everything stored inside that little brain of hers up there, and as I stand here, holding my baby girl for the first time and feeling the flash of a camera on me, the only words I can choke out are: "I'm your daddy."

Liv reached to my arm and squeezed. I sat on the edge of this bumpy bed next to her and Liv looked into Marina's eyes.

"Brown. The most beautiful shade of brown with small specks of green." I smiled for how far we've come, for how great we've done. For how amazing it feels.

The next day coming home from the hospital was full of baby clothes and laughter. The first night back, Liv and I slept on the bed in the nursery.

"This is a small ass bed," Liv whispered as she had to press herself to me.

"I don't mind," I tightened my arm around her. "Mommy." I added, kissing her shoulder.

"Goodnight, daddy." She snorted at how inappropriate the nickname was. "I love you."

"I love you."

Of course there was crying in the night, but we were both eager to get her. She liked being in Liv's arms more, which was a typical thing. But I liked to watch. Of course, within a few weeks we won't be so happy to wake up multiple times in the night but for now it's new and it's fresh and it's happy.

Gemma, Liam and mum are leaving next week. Gem and Liam broke the news that they're moving here during the winter time, which I'm excited for. Mum will be left alone, but she doesn't want to move her and says it's more excuses to come and see us. Liam is growing on me, too. I didn't think I'd like him, but I do.

But for now, it's Liv, Marina and I. A happy family.
