So that was what this entire vacation thing was about.

When Chachu broke the news, time stood still. I froze.

Just when I had started believing that I still had a chance to make my life better, shit happened. It was like the whole universe was against my happiness.

Even Sapna.

The moment she said 'Fine', I lost it.

I stormed out and up the stairs, heading straight to the terrace. Once I was alone, I let it all out.

The frustration. The pain. The heartbreak.

I screamed.

And kept on screaming but the agony didn't go away.

Finally, I broke.

I whimpered like a baby. Curled up into a ball and rocked myself. Tears rolled down slowly.

I pulled the ring off my little finger and stared at it with a roar of longing and kissed it.

I was hurting everywhere.

Was that how it felt like to lose someone?

If yes, it was earth-shatteringly awful.

I should know. It wasn't like I was losing someone for the first time.

The same person even.

I had lost her before and I lost her again.

Gut-wrenching pain buzzed through my insides as I wept harder.

There was no end to my suffering.

I looked up the internet to find some bar in the city. When my screen came up with a place, I went off without a second thought.

What did men do with heartbreak?

They drank on it.

I reached there through a cab, and hurried inside, not wanting anyone to see my sullen face and bloodshot eyes. I ordered liquor and gulped it neat. The burning in my throat conquered the pain in my heart.

It still didn't feel enough.

Therefore, I drank more. And I kept on drinking till I couldn't see straight. When I tried to get on my feet, I stumbled.

Only to fall into a soft pair of arms.

A sly smile greeted me when I looked up. She was wearing a white halter top that stopped at her waist with tight black jeans that hug her legs perfectly, displaying her model curves. Her brown hair was left loose and she was wearing too much makeup. She was sexy.

She steadied me back to my seat, and then bent closer to me, her breath fanning my lips. Just when I was about to lean forward, she inched to the right and whispered, "Can I buy you a drink?"

I grinned. She sat on the stool opposite to mine, her bare legs touching my thighs, and ordered two shots of tequila. She talked to me, telling me that she was there with her friends and was leaving in a couple of days, but I was too busy fantasizing about her. I drank absent-mindedly, nodding and smirking every now and then.

When we were both high to the extent that we didn't remember who we were, we kissed.

Like crazy.

She took me to the hotel she was staying at, which wasn't far from the bar. Once we were alone, we kissed harder. Her hands were everywhere on me and mine were on all the places I had fantasized about earlier.
