🌀 For cooking class or gym etc:
Teacher: "Absolutely no Earrings, necklaces, legging. SCARVES...
Everyone: (turns to look at you 👀) "Are you going to wear that when you're cooking?" "Are you going to wear that for gym?" (Everyone, even the teacher looks at you for the answer.)
Me: "Yeah I am why wouldn't I?" (Awkward silence)
🌀 Those times that your hijab gets caught on a door, cupboard, someone's bag, etc:
Me: (casually talking with someone)
Them: "Bye have a good day!"
Me: Wow we had such a great conversation (Tries to move away and realizes my Hijab has been stuck somewhere the whole time.)
🌀 When people that haven't seen your hair talk about hair
Person 1: My hair is so knotty it's not even silky Person 2: Should I put my hair in a ponytail? You: My hair...😶😜😂
🌀 When people make an isis joke/reference
Person 1: There's those nasty sandwiches for lunch again Person 2: Bruh I'd rather join isis (Awkward silence)
🌀 When people ask if your christian/ what you got for christmas LMHO those get me everytime 😂
🌀 When people who HAVE seen your hair complain and whine about you wearing it Person 1: Dude you didn't wear that in 5th grade. Me: I know! it's been 3 years get over it
🌀 When people knock into your bun? Like what are you supposed to do in that situation? When they apologize it get's even more awkward.
🌀 When your friend jokes about what you hide in your hijab. (Not talking about bombs LOL those aren't welcome here.) Props to Alison from OITNB!
