Salam! This will be short but I felt it was important and I wanted to share it.
I was at Mosque the other day and the Imam had a question for all of us. He informed us that the Prophet PBUH fasted in Sha'ban (the month before Ramadan) more than any other month besides Ramadan of course. He asked us why. We pondered on it while doing dhikr and Mashallah, a little girl said she knew the answer. Honestly I thought it would be more complicated but it simply was "He was preparing for Ramadan." She was right. The Imam said that when Ramadan comes around we just sit around and wait for it before becoming the most pious we can be. "I'll fast when Ramadan comes, obviously." But what about now? "I'll pray Nafl when Ramadan comes" what about now? Just something to think about🙂. We can't wait, this life is wayyyy to short for that.
