Allah loves this act. He loves it all year round but during Ramadan you get more reward, and Ramadan is a time in which Allah has set for us, to do good deeds.
So what does Allah love? He loves when you memorize the Quran. When you memorize the words of God, they don't even have to be in Arabic. The words of God are same in every language.
You don't have to memorize the whole Quran and you don't have to memorize it in Arabic. Set your goals high but start small.
Memorize little surahs first. The ones that you can use in your prayer so you can repeat them over and over again. Memorizing the Quran is one of the most memorable acts of Ibadah you can ever do in your entire life.
Then again, don't just memorize it. Understand it. Understand what you're saying. Don't just read a bunch of Arabic. Understand what God is telling us.
When you memorize the Quran don't do it to show off. The only ones that should know when you memorize the Quran is you and Allah. And he will be pleased. Allah doesn't need anything from you. He doesn't need you! You're his worshipper. So worship him right.
You memorizing the Quran should be for yourself. So you can get the deeds. So you can go to Jannah. Not oh my friends will be impressed or oh my mom will be happy. No it should only be for you.
Every ayat you say Angels are waiting it down. When you memorize you have to repeat what you are trying to memorize right? So every time you repeat yourself the Angels are writing those deeds down.
Memorizing the Quran is better than just reading it because you get more reward and you know more Quran! Now instead of 1 good deed it's 20 because you repeated it 20 times. And when praying you can say more surahs!
You have to do this in Ramadan. I'm telling you now, don't say no one ever told you. You are never going to get this time back. Now get off your phone and memorize some Quran for your sake. Also ask him for forgiveness that's awesome too.
