Tord mumbles walking into the dining room, using the cane, after being called for dinner. "Yo Tordy, what up?"
"Nothing," he mutters, Tori's smile fading to a frown. "Tord? What happened?"
"You know how I told you Edd and me are now, ya know, together?" He whispers as she nods. "Well, Edd he, um, hurt himself trying to walk on his own, and I'm just worried-"
"Whoa little bro, Edd? Seriously? That just seems unlike him," she cocks her head. "I know! He just, ugg. I don't know Tori, just extremely worried for him, what if it gets worse? What if he does it again and Ell isn't there?"
"Tord! I've never seen you worry so much! Calm down, Edd is a smart dude, he's not going to do that again," she smiles. "He's going to end up hurting himself, like, I just-"
"Tord, vær rolig i helvete(Tord, calm the fu*k down)," Tori stares at him. "Yeah, yeah," he takes a big breath in, breathing out to calm himself down. "Tori! Tord! Middag(Dinner)!"
The two rush to the dinner table, sitting down in their seats. Tord looking at the family picture hanging on the wall, the first one with Tori, she was seven, Tord was five, almost six, he smiled at how awkward Tori looked as he starts to eat the spaghetti.
"So Tord, Tori, your grandmother is coming to visit tomorrow," their dad breaks the silence. "Wait, but she hasn't, isn't that going to be a bit awkward?"
"Tord, I told her what happened, she just, hasn't seen you yet, Tord she's your grandmother," their mother sighs. "She hates me anyways. Not like she's not going to baby you anymore than usual."
"Hun hater ikke deg(She doesn't hate you)," their mom gives Tori a concerned look. "Det føles som det(It feels like it)."
"I'm tired, I'm gonna go to bed, if that's okay," Tord stands up from the table. "We'll be getting your grandmother from the airport early tomorrow morning, so you two really should get to sleep," their father smiles.
"God natt mamma og pappa(Good night mom and dad)," Tord heads off into his room, putting his arm prosthetic in his bathroom to charge it, before heading back to his bed, getting out a binder, labeled "Fammilie og venner."
"Heh," he smiles looking through it, and when he gets to a picture with him and Tori, right before they had found out Tord's muscle growth wasn't growing right, or something and had to amputate his right arm and leg.
"What are you looking at?" Tori walks in. "I though papa said it was time for bed," she smiles, and then frowns once she sees the picture. "Oh, that."
"Oh, um, s-sorry."
"I remember that you so scared, I was literally crying," Tori laughs. "I remember that as well. I mean, I agreed with it, but still, I was scared."
"You should get to bed now, for real, night," she smiles, walking out of the room, Tord gets dressed for bed, grabbing his phone, seeing a text message from Edd, "Ell accidentally told my mum."
"Are you in trouble?"
"Kinda, anyways good night Tord, love you."
"Love you too," Tord smiles, plugging up his phone turning it off, starting to go to sleep.

~Time skip to morning~

"God morgen," Tord mumbles walking into the kitchen, seeing his grandmother was already at the table. "Tord, du stakkars baby, kom til bestemor(Tord, you poor baby, come to granny)!"
"Mamma! Hun gjør det(She's doing it)!" Tord complains. "Tord!" His grandmother gets up, trying to give him a hug. "Jeg har det bra, bestemor, vær snill Tori(I'm fine, go bother Tori)," Tord grumbles.
"Wait? Tord what did I do?"
"Nothing that's what! Tori please, I just, with Edd last night-"
"Alright, fine.," she groans, sitting down. "Ikke-blod familie medlem(Non-blood family member)," she greets Tori with an almost annoyed look on her face.
"Ugg! This is what I fu*ing mean! I'm adopted, I get it! I'm not a blood family member! Why should it matter?! I'm just as much as your family as Tord is!" She pushes her chair back and storms upstairs, Tord heading into his room, calling Edd, he knows his sister when she's mad, just let her cool off.
"Hmmm? What is it Tord?"
"Hey! Why aren't you at school? I know I called you, but still," Tord smiles sitting down on his bed. "My leg, from my outburst yesterday, I can't even use my crutches, so, my mum said I have to stay in bed."
"My grandmother is over, and she hates Tori's guts, she's just really rude."
"Is it because she's adopted?" Edd sighs. "Yep, she also just want to baby me, which I'm not fond of."
"Yeah, well, hey, I um, heh, wanted to know, if um, yeah never mind," Edd shakes his head, his hair rubbing against the pillow. "Edd, I love you, if there's something you need to tell me, go ahead," Tord smiles.
"I love you too, I'm sorry if I um, worried you last night. I wasn't thinking straight and I shouldn't have done that," Edd sighs. "It's okay sweetie, just don't do it again. Please?"
"I won't, I don't need to walk by myself, I'm fine with way I walk now," Edd mutters. "Well, what did you do in art class? Since she does something different in each class?"
"We have to draw our family, I can't quite figure out how to draw myself on my crutches, you know, posture and stuff," Edd slightly laughs as he talks. "Oh! We're doing the same, and well, I can't figure how to draw Tori's face shape, since it's more of an oval."
"I could help? And hey, do you know if Tom's okay? He's not answering any of my calls or texts, and yesterday he seemed a bit off."
"Sorry Edd, I don't know. And hey, if you ever get down about the walking thing, come to me."
"Okay, okay, thanks, I got to go, bye, my mum's taking my to the doctor, again," Edd smiles before hanging up. "Edd you worry me a lot," Tord sighs, shaking his head. "Tord?"
"Mom? Hey, sorry grandma was kinda, I don't know, she was just trying to baby me," Tord groans as his mom walks in. "I get it, I heard it all. One, you do need to be nicer, she's old, and her mind is still in the past, I know you don't like it when people make you feel like a baby, but she doesn't," she sighs.
"She was rude to Tori. Calling her a 'non-blood family member' she's still family!"
"I know, and I will speak to her about it. Now, about Edd, don't think I didn't hear your conversation sweetie."
"O-Oh, um, you heard it? Heh, sorry I didn't tell I mean, just I um-"
"Tord, its fine, now, I'm going to check up on your sister," she gives him that caring mother voice before getting up and heading up stairs. "Heh, well then," he sighs, walking back into the kitchen. "Tord, your prothetic arrived," his dad takes a sip of coffee, pointing to the box on the kitchen table.
"Really? That was quick!" He opens up the box pulling out the prosthetic "Hey dad, can you help me put on the sock?" Tord smiles sitting down. "Ja," he smiles placing the rubber sock onto Tord's stump, with the prosthetic. "You remember how to walk with it right?"
"Yes, I do dad," Tord smiles standing up. "Do you need help?"
"N-No I got it, it's just like walking, I still have the knee," Tord starts walking, only having a slight wobble.
"Tord, du vokser opp så fort(Tord you grow up so fast)," his dad smiles. "Pappa!"
"Beklager, beklager(Sorry, sorry)," his dad laughs, giving Tord a hug. "Takk pappa(Thanks dad)," Tord smiles hugging him back.
"Tord? You got your leg? Oh my gosh!" Tori runs down the stairs. "Yeah, I know! It looks weird but I still love it!" He smiles, pointing at the ankle, it being a metal rod. "Oh, that is weird," Tori smiles. "You gonna show Edd?"
"He had to go to the doctor, but yeah I'll show him later," Tord smiles. "Edd? Hvem er denne edd(Who is this Edd)?" Their grandmother looks at Tord with a confused look.
"Edd? Han er min, um, han er kjæresten min bestemor(He's my, um, he's my boyfriend, granny)," Tord scratches his head.
"Kjæresten?"
"Ja, kjæresten(Yes, boyfriend)," Tord mumbles, his grandmother smiles. "Tord, you and Tori should get to school," their mother smile. "Fine."

~A couple hours later; at Edd's house~

"Hey sweetie, do you want to talk about what happened? Since your sister told me," Edd's mum walks in, Edd's leg wrapped up in medical wrap.
"I mean, I-I guess? I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight," Edd sighs, sitting up, winching slightly. "When you start to go feel the need to do something like that, tell me. You need to talk to me about those things."
"I know! I know, it's like everything before," he gives a weak smile. "Sweetie, I know, and you need to talk to me about these things, I'm worried about you."
"Heh," Edd had started crying, "you're spending all our money on me, and Ell, crutches, appointments, therapy, school, food, house and your always there? Mum I just, I'm sorry," he puts his hands on his face. "Edd, sweetie, that's what a mother does," she smiles, rubbing his back.
"I k-know so many kids from s-school who's parents just left them, and I just, you didn't but dad he-"
"Edd, it's okay, sweetheart," she wraps her arms around him in a hug as he continues to cry into her shoulder. "I don't know why I'm crying," Edd laughs through his tears. "The medication is probably messing with your emotions. Now Edd look at me."
"Yes?" He pulls back to look at her in the eyes. "You're father was a mess waiting to happen. Don't think it was your fault," she smiles before pushing up her glasses.
"I-I know, just, um, remember how we talked about getting my get amputated?"
"Edward, honey we talked about this. It won't be like Tord where it's under the knee, it would be the whole leg, we don't have enough money to buy a prosthesis or prosthetic like that."
"Oh, yeah, um, I'm going to get to take a nap if that's alright?"
"Actually, remember what the doctor said? Take a walk, or do something like that a couple hours after the appointment," she smiles, gently touching Edd's nose before standing up off the bed. "I don't want to take a walk, I do that all the time."
"Why don't you run up and down the stairs?"
"I'm gonna fall, I guess a-" Edd's phone starts ringing. "Can I?" Edd looks at his mum as she nods. "Thanks," he picks up the phone, answering. "Hey Edd!" It was none other than Tamara.
"Tamara? Why did you call me? On Tom's phone?" Edd cocks his head lightly. "Well, that's the thing. This morning Tom was complaining to our mum about headaches and how he felt more dizzy than usual. He lost a severe about, if not all of his vision, and he wanted me to tell you."
"Is he okay?" Edd looks at the ceiling trying to avoid eye contact with his mother. "From what he said, he's fine, dizzy, their going to look at his eyes to see if they can do anything, which, they probably can't. Just, wanted to let you know, since you're the only one not at school," Tam hangs up.
"What was wrong?"
"Tom has, or is almost completely blind, like, um, a lot more than usual," Edd looks at the ground. "Oh, well, I better call his mother, now Edd, you have to do something, love you."
"Love you too mum."
Edd looks back at his phone to see a picture from Tord, of his prosthetic, it has a a more blue tint, a pole-rod-like thing for an ankle, and a shoe that looks almost glued on, with the caption, "You have my sole, I'll never run away."
"Very funny. Cool prosthetic," Edd types with a smile on his face. "Yeah, and guess what?"
"What?"
"I'm almost as tall as Tori now," Tord sends a picture, him and Tori. "That's cool."
"Sorry Edd, gotta go, class," Tord sends it as Edd keeps smiling. "Bye."
Edd sighs, turning his phone over. "Mum said to go on a walk," he grabs his crutches and placed his hands in, grabbing the grips pushing himself off the bed, he quickly glances at the single bar in his room before turning away, exiting his room. "Hey mum? Can I take the route to the bridge?"
"No, it's too far! Take the playground route," she calls from the other room. "Okay!" He sighs, heading out the door. "Oh well look who it is! Little-"
"Shut up. Just, shut up," Edd looks up at the three, Eduardo, Mark, and Jon, of course those two almost never leave his side. "Oh do I look like I'm going to do that," he smiles walking closer to Edd. "Yeah, but I don't care."
"Oh your gonna care, you will," Eduardo shoves his face in Edd's. "Yeah, no, I'm not going to," Edd sighs, gripping his crutches tighter. "Aw? Is the little baby scared?"
"I'm not scared! Just leave me alone Mark! Eduardo! I'm leaving," Edd starts walking. "Wait, why are you guys at school?"
"Reasons that are nine of your concern."
Edd walks away with a huge, sinister smile on his face, going for his little walk.
