Tord lays in his bed, staring at the ceiling, breathing heavily. "Tord, you okay?" Tori walks in to his room, weakly smiling. "We should speak more Norwegian in our house, it's our first language," he laughs, pushing himself up, not wearing either of his prosthetics. "Tord, is this about Matt? You can't keep shutting everyone out, you seriously can't," she sighs.
"Why are you always right?" Tord nervously laughs.
"Because, look. Tord, I know Matt was, is, your friend, but we have to keep going on. I've stop talking to Ell and Mattie, but, Tam told me how worried she is about Tom, he isn't in the best shape about it either," she sighs, sitting on the edge of his bed, "I'm worried about you. The only time you come out of your room is to eat, and with school over, you need to get out and do something."
"I-I can't. Edd, Tom, I stop talking to both of them. They're probably mad at me," Tord looks down. "Thorfird, they wouldn't get mad at you. You need to talk to them."
"Tori, I-I cant. Matt's gone. He's, he's kinda what held our friendship together," he gives a deep sigh. "Remember when I first came home? I wouldn't talk to you, only Mom and Papa?"
"Yeah, I was excited about getting a sibling, and you wouldn't talk to me, that, that kinda hurt. I didn't care if you were adopted, I wanted a sibling."
"Think of it like that, Edd and Tom need you, and you're being me, not talking to them," she sighs, and then smiles. "I-I'll text Edd, but, I-I think he's going to be mad at me, I haven't talked to him in five days, i've been ignoring him Tori. I declined all his calls, ignored all those texts, and when I see him, I walked in the other direction"
"Tord, he's your boyfriend, like he'd hate you," Tori puts her hand on his shoulder. "I've ignored him! I, I ignored him Tori!"
"Get out that phone, and talk to him, Tord I'm serious," she raises an eyebrow. "Fine, fine, um," he grabs his phone, opening Edd's contact, seeing his Edd texted him, asking why he wasn't answering. "Hey Edd," Tord mumbles typing it. "Tord, oh my gosh, hey!"
"Sorry about not texting you, and ignoring you."
"Tord, it's fine, how about we meet up tomorrow?"
He didn't reply, turning his phone over. "Tord, why aren't you responding?"
"I-I, I don't know Tori! Just, give me a break," he growls slightly, sighing. "Fine, jeg vil bare gjøre det for deg(Fine, I'll just do it for you)!" She grabs his phone. "Tori!" He tries to grab his phone, but Tori pulls it away, texting Edd. "Give me my phone back," he narrows his eyes. "You two are going to have some hot cocoa or whatever, at the neighborhood's café tomorrow," she hands him his phone back.
"Tori! I didn't, I didn't want to go!"
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but, seriously, would Matt say you two shouldn't go?! He would urge you on!"
"Ikke ta ham inn i dette(Don't bring him into this)!"
"Du spiller som om han er død Tord! Han er ikke(You're acting like he's dead Tord! He's not)!"
"Jeg er ferdig, Tori går ut(I'm done, Tori get out)!"
"Tord!"
"Jeg sa komme seg ut! Du er et stykke lur du vet det riktig(I said get out! You're a piece of sh*t, you know that right)?!"
"Kids? Hva er med alle de skrikende(Kids! What's with all the screaming)?!" Their mother calls out. "Nothing!" They both yell back, Tori walking out and slamming the door.
Tord smiles and laughs slightly, bringing his left left to his chest, wrapping his arm around it, leaning on the wall, starting to cry, mumbling things to himself. His phone lights up, "Can't wait to see you there Tord," he mumbles, looking at the text, throwing his phone across the room.
"Why? Why did I do this?!" He runs his left hand through his hair, letting the tears fall down on his bed. "Edd doesn't deserve to be with me, I'm just, I'm just," the tears start flowing. "I'm not good enough," he laughs through the tears.
"Thorfird, sweetie you okay?" His mom walks in, looking at him crying on his bed. "M-Mom! I-I'm fine!"
"Sweetie, do-"
"N-No, I don't need to go back to counseling, I'm fine," he mutters, looking at the window, away from his mother. "Tord, I heard you. What makes you think you aren't good enough? Sweetie, you are perfect."
"I don't feel like it!" He tightly grabs his hair, still not looking at his mother. "Tord, don't do this to yourself, you know how much it hurts me to see you like this? I'm your mother, seeing my child like this I-"
"Think about Matt's mom! I-I didn't do anything. A-At school I knew something w-was up, I could've done something!" He turns his head to his mom, tears flowing down his face. "Det var ikke din feil, Thorfird, ikke si det selv(It wasn't your fault Thorfird, don't tell yourself it is)," she sits on his bed, hugging him, he continues to cry out his emotions, telling his mom how he's not good enough for Edd, how it's fault Matt's gone, and everything in-between.
"Nora!" Tord's papa calls out, coming in the room. "Hendrick, what is it?"
"Torianna's gjør det igjen, jeg kan ikke stikke henne ut av det(Torianna's doing it again, I can't get her to snap out of it)," he worryingly looks at the two. "Tord, I need to check on your sister," she quickly stands up, rushing up the stairs. Tord knew what this meant and started feeling immensely guilty. His dad runs up the stairs as well. Tord grabs his leg prosthetic, running up the stairs, wiping his face off.
"Torianna, calm down, please," their mom was standing in front of the closet door, it being locked in her closet. "N-No," she mutters. "Torianna, please."
"N-No! I can't!" She cries out, Tord cocks his head slightly, Tori was abused, and that's why she was put up for adoption, her parents got arrested, and no one else in her family stepped up, but she couldn't live that down. Tord knew this, his parents told him when they brought Tori home, he didn't want to make any wrong moves. She was beaten, it was clear with the amount of scars on her back, shoulders and her legs. Tord always felt sorry for her, especially when she had these meltdowns.
"Tori, please, I'm sorry," Tord walks up to the closet, looking though the blinds. "Tori please, I didn't mean to! I'm sorry!"
"Sorry don't fix it!"
"Tord, go downstairs," his papa looks at Tord before he walks downstairs, looking down at the floor.

~The next day; at the café~

"Hello Edd, hello Tord, what can I get you two today?" The café worker smiles. "Hot cocoa with extra marshmallows," Edd weakly smiles. "I-I'll have the same," Tord looks at the table.
"Tord? You okay?"
"Matt," Tord mumbles, not looking at Edd, rather the table. "Oh, my mum said to not let it get to me. Matt will be okay, though I don't know how much I believe that," Edd sighs. "It's almost been a week, I just can't stop thinking about how rude I was to him."
"Tord, you weren't rude to him, you-"
"Edd, I know I was, there's no need to lie. I called him annoying, I told him to shut up, to go away, I wouldn't listen when he said the same," Tord still didn't make eye contact with Edd, "he ran away, and got caught, it's my fault," tears started to form in Tord's eyes.
"It wasn't your fault, please-"
"I-I can't do this, I have to go," Tord pushes his chair back, walking out of the café. "Tord! Sh*t," Edd mutters the last bit. "Here's your cocoa, where did Tord go?" The Australian man puts down the cocoa. "He left," he looks up at the worker. "Oh, well, you can have his free for charge."
"Thanks Mr. Lunde," Edd mutters, starting to drink out of the cup. A ding of the bell going off as someone walks in. "Hello Tom," Mr. Lunde looks up at Tom and Mandy. "Tom? What are you doing here?"
"Getting a drink? Edd why are you here?"
"Tord and I were going to have some cocoa, but he bailed," Edd sighs. "Matt?"
"Y-Yes," Edd sighs. Tom stayed silent, Mandy staying put with him. "Tom if you want you can sit with me, and have Tord's cocoa that he didn't even drink," Edd mutters, Mandy leading Tom to the seat. "Edd are you, er, um, are you okay?"
"No, I'm a-afraid Tord doesn't love me anymore, I-I tried to set up this because we haven't talked, and he just bailed," Edd whispers, tearing up. "A-And I'm afraid-"
"Stop speaking nonsense, Matt's disappearance has taken um, taken a toll on all of us, um, Tord just, I er-"
"I get it, but y-you can't blame me, it just hurts okay?" Edd looks at the table, still whispering. "Yeah, I can't blame you," Tom mutters.
"Um, lets change the subject, um, how's Tam?" Edd cocks his head. "Annoying as ever, she keeps, ugg, I don't know."
"Babying you? Or, what?"
"Kinda, she's just acting strange, even for her, she comes into my room and just stares at me, I know she's there, I can hear the door open, but she says nothing. It's creepy," Tom scratches his head.
"Oh, um, that kind of is creepy. She's probably just worrying about you? Don't all our parents and siblings?" Edd mutters, taking a sip of his cocoa, Tom feels around the table before grabbing his, taking a sip from it. "I guess," he sighs, taking another sip,
"Tom, I-I can't stop thinking about Tord, Matt, all of it. What if Tord really doesn't like me anymore? What if Matt isn't coming back?" Edd starts shaking, breathing heavier. "Edd, calm down! In and out," Tom makes hand motions as he shows Edd what to do, Mandy making a slight whimper.
Edd breaths in and out, as Tom said, trying to calm himself down. As much as it hurt Tom, he knows Tord loves Edd, and how irrational Edd was being. "Tord, Edd, Tord loves you. It's, it's clear, even to me, and Matt, that's the part I'm uncertain about."
"Y-You're right," Edd sighs, looking down at the floor, seeing Mandy sitting at Tom's feet, her snout on his left foot. "Just don't let it get to you, I mean, Tord cares about you, and Matt will, Matt will be okay," Tom smiles weakly, Edd smilies back, again, weakly.
