Teaching at Hogwarts was the best thing in your life. You were a nurse with Madam Pomfrey, only more lenient. You'd attended Hogwarts with your best friends James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Sirius Black. Then you'd heard Sirius had wiped out muggle people and had given away Lily and James, not to mention when he'd killed Peter. Poor Peter.
When you found out James's son, Harry, had started attending Hogwarts you were more than pleased. Also learning of his friendship with Molly Weasley's boy, Ron. When he'd been put in the infirmary after his arm had lost all of its bone structure, you watched him interact with his friends.
His third year, your friend came back. You couldn't be happier. Sure Snivelous tormented Remus's class while he dealt with his problem, and he'd definitely had it out for the poor fellow, it wasn't terrible. Though you and Remus were concerned for Harry.
When he was brought into the hospital wing after falling off his broom you made sure he was safe and sat next to his bedside.
It was now midway through the year and you'd been called to McGonagall's office.
"You'd wanted to see me, Minerva?" You asked.
"Yes, dear. Please, sit." You took a seat and looked at her. "You fully understand Sirius Black is after Mister Potter, as he is his godson, and you understand he was in this school only weeks ago. I must make sure you know you can't let your feelings get in the way of what's right." You squinted your eyes in confusion. "I remember how you tagged along with the Marauders. Especially that you took a liking to young Sirius, himself."
"Are you implying that if I meet Sirius again I won't want to throw him back in Azkaban?" You asked.
"Precisely," she spoke.
"Professor, I can swear to you the last thing I'll do is keep Sirius from Azkaban. He's betrayed my closest friends! I wouldn't wish him upon my greatest enemy! And I certainly wouldn't let him loose with Harry around!" You told before walking out and back to the hospital wing.
You sat down on an empty bed and looked at your lunch blankly.
"She talked to you too?" You heard. You looked up at Remus.
"Just because I used to fancy Sirius, doesn't mean I won't still turn him over. If he ratted on Lily and James, I'm putting him away. Whatever the cost," you told and started poking your food. He wrapped an arm around you and you leant your head on his shoulder.
"I miss them too." You sighed and nuzzled into him more.
"Take care of him, Remus. I only see him when he's hurt. And I don't want to see him when he is."
Weeks went by and you'd found out Sirius was in Shrieking Shack. Naturally, you raced to the shack and up the stairs. You burst through the door to see Remus holding Harry and his two friends standing behind them. You turned and saw a sickly thin and pale man. He had long hair, dark purple bags under his eyes and grimy teeth.
"(Y/n)," he breathed. He let out a faint smile.
"Sirius.." You said exasperatedly.
"(Y/n), calm down. I know what you're going to do and I highly advise against it," Remus said. Harry looked between the two of you.
"Remus, please. I'm.. Fine. Totally fine." You said. Remus let go of Harry and lunged at you right as you went to jump on Sirius. "Remus let me go! He should be obliviated right here! He killed them! He killed our best friends! We have to turn him in!" You yelled, struggling against Remus's grip. Sirius walked to you with sorrow in his eyes. You glared at him.
"Now, (Marauder name).. You know I'd never sell out my best friends to Voldemort. You know that I'd've died for them. You know that I cared for all of you. You know that I've loved you since -" he had started to raise his voice, but calmed himself, "Since we danced together at the Black Lake.. Why would I want to give everything up for loyalty to that bloody egghead?" He asked.
