You're All I Have (A FrostIron Fan Fic)

Chapter 17

Steve went to Thor to try and see if he could bring him to Asgard.

"Thor! I need your help." Steve said as he entered SHIELD headquarters.

"Hello Steve! With what?"

"I need you to take me to Asgard." Steve said, although he didn't feel fully comfortable with going he knew that he needed to.

"For Loki..? I wouldn't if I were you. I haven't been there since he got there and I fear he has changed." Thor said.

"Changed? Okay. Listen I don't care if he has changed or not. I need to get him to bring him back to Tony." Steve demanded. Thor sighed and then they both went to Asgard. Once they got there nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, Thor was actually really confused by this because he could've sworn Loki would go crazy and try to take over. But no, everything was normal. 

"I don't exactly know where he is.. but I think I have an idea." Thor said. He took Steve down to the dungeon, sure enough there he was. He was sitting at a desk writing, just as quiet as possible in the cell.  Steve slowly walked over, he and Thor both were confused as to why exactly he was sitting in there, unless something happened.

"Loki..?" Steve asked, Loki stopped writing, as if he froze. He didn't move, didn't even put his pen down. "Why.. are you in here?" He asked, but there was no response, he just continued to see the back of Loki's head. "Tony needs you..." He said. 

"I don't need him." Loki said without turning around, he didn't want to show his face. He didn't want to turn and show them how much pain he was in, how much being without Tony kills him. He tried to make his voice sound normal, even though every time someone else talks to him he just sounds broken. 

"Please, Loki. He won't eat, he won't move, he won't even try to talk. He just cries, he cries all the time and everyone is getting worried that he will... just. Come back." Steve pleaded, he can't let his best friend be this way anymore, and he is more than willing to do anything to help him. 

"Steven, I can't. I am much happier here. He will get over it. I promise." Loki said, his voice almost broke at the end. He wanted to turn around and leave to go be with Tony. He wants to just lay with him, just be there. 

"Loki... Please..." Steve was begging. 

"I can't leave!" Loki snapped, he wasn't mad, he was just about to break down and he knew if that happened they would make him go back, even though that's what he wants he wants what is best for Tony, and to Loki, that's not him.

"Okay..." Steve stopped, he signed and looked to Thor, he knew that neither of them could do anything so they left.

"I'm sorry.." Loki broke down, he couldn't handle the pain, his heart felt like it was breaking into a million pieces. 

Back on Earth in the hospital Steve walked into Tony's room and sat in the chair next to him. Tony was laying in bed staring at the ceiling, he was just as broken as Loki. 

"I miss him..." Tony said. Steve looked at him and sighed, he didn't even have to respond. He knew he missed him but there was nothing he could do. He tried. "Can you go get me my phone..? It's at home.." He asked.

"Yeah.. I can do that." Steve said as he got up and walked out. Tony rolled over and looked out the window, it was a gloomy day. 

"Mr. Stark, there was a letter sent to you.." A nurse said, she walked in and laid the letter down on the table next to him and walked out. He looked at the letter, yeah it was addressed to him but the handwriting seemed to look familiar.

"Loki..?" He said to himself as he picked up the letter and opened it. 

'My dearest Tony, I hope you are getting along well without me. I hope you are having the time of your life meeting new people and getting to experience new things. I know I left you, I know that you needed me at one point in time but I hope now you found someone else. I wanted you to know that I didn't ever mean to hurt you, that was never my intention. I wanted you to be happy, it just seemed like you were never happy when I was around. Please, try to be happy for me at least. I am doing very well here in Asgard, you do not need to worry about me. I will still remember all of the laughs we had, all of the memories we made, and I will always remember you. Your smile, your laugh, the way you pout when I am right but you don't want to admit it. Anthony, I love you. I'm so sorry I had to leave but I couldn't stand to see you getting hurt. I know you will move on, I know you will find someone better and live a long happy life with that person, but that person is not me. You.. You were all I had. But I hurt you so much that I almost lost you. In my opinion it is better for you to be with someone else, even if that means I have no one. I will always love you, no matter what. You were my first love. You will be my last love. I want you to remember that, always and forever. -Loki'

Tony hugged the letter and cried, he's never cried this hard before. This is the only thing he has of Loki now. 

"Come back!!" He screamed, the amount of pain he felt was unreal. He needed his husband back, that is what Loki was to him. His husband. 

"Tony!" Steve ran in wondering what was wrong, he took one look at the letter and knew. "Tony.. It's going to be okay...." Steve said quietly. 

"It will never be okay Steve!!" He yelled. "He was my husband! He is the love of my life and who knows if he will ever come back to me!!" Tony was out of breath, his body didn't have enough strength to do all of this. 

"Calm down. I can take you to him..." Steve said, Tony calmed down slightly and looked up at him. Yeah.. I can do that." Steve reassured himself and went out to talk to nurses. After about ten minutes Steve walked back in. "You can leave for a couple hours. But you have to be in a wheelchair." 

"Deal." Tony said as he tried to stand up but fell down. Steve luckily caught him.

"Tony.. You're too weak to support yourself." Steve said and carried him over to the wheelchair. 

"Isn't that just.. great.." Tony said and then a portable oxygen tank was put in his lap.  "What's this?" he asked.

"You have to wear oxygen because.. well.. you can't breathe on your own." Steve sighed, Tony was at rock bottom. Hopefully this will fix things. 

Off they went to Asgard.
