Chapter 14

"Tony? Tony wake up.." Steve whispered, shaking him gently. Tony opened his eyes slowly, the constant beeping of the machines made his head pound.

"W-what.. where's Loki..?" He whispered, slowly looking around for his lover. Steve put his head down and signed, not wanting to tell Tony where he really was. "Steve.. Where's Loki? I need to see him. I have to make sure he's okay.." Tony mumbled.

"He's not here.. we had to take him away.." Steve said, and at that moment it felt like the room just went dark. This man who was doing so good, who was actually a good guy, just misunderstood. Gone.

"Gone.. where.." Tony choked.

"With SHIELD." The captain replied.

"Take me to him... I need to see him Steve. You guys don't know him. You don't know who he really is. That's not my Loki. I need him so I can talk to him and talk him out of whatever he is trying to do. Please Steve let me talk to him.." Tony begged.

"Tony he tried to kill you. I can't let you go see him. He put a lot of people in danger. I'm sorry."

"Please Steve!" Tony pleaded, "Let me see Loki.. I am the only one who knows him. I need him.." Tony cried. Just the thought of losing Loki, not being able to wake up next to him, not being able to hold him, not having someone to cry to.

"Tony.." Steve put his hand on Tonys shoulder and tried his best to comfort him but he was miserably failing.

"I will do anything Steve.. Just let me see him.." Tony cried, Steve couldn't stand to see his friend in this condition so he somehow managed to get Tony to be able to leave for two hours. Although he was still hooked up with wires and put in a wheelchair Tony didn't seem to mind one bit, as long as he got to see Loki.

"Tony, I have to warn you this still isn't the Loki we know so he is kept in a cell." Steve said right before they entered the facility. As they went to his cell Tony just stared at the ground.

"Why me..." He mumbled, not loud enough for Steve to hear though. As they got to the door Steve had to put his thumbprint in to open the big doors for the cell. As the doors opened there Loki stood. Blue. Red eyes. Tony looked at him in disbelief, this isn't Loki. It can't possibly be.

"You.." Loki growled. Steve pushed Tony just a little bit closer to the cell before stopping. Loki walked closer, his gaze moved from Steve down to Tony.

"Steve.. Step out for a second" Tony said, still staring at Loki.

"If you're sure..." Steve hesitated before leaving the room, the big doors closing behind him.

"Who are you.." Tony said, just focused on his lovers eyes. Loki smirked and didn't answer. Tony knows who he is, he knows exactly who he is. "Where is Loki?" He questioned. His voice now dropping a little bit.

"I am Loki. I am who you should fear. I can end your life in the blink of an eye." Loki growled. Tony just sighed, he knew Loki wouldn't tell him.

"Listen... I know this isn't who you are. I know who you really are, Loki. You're my amazing, outgoing, cheerful, one of a kind husband.. this.. person. Isn't you." He tried to smile just a little bit, but it was so faint.

"I am your King. You need to bow down to me. I can crush you, the Loki you knew was too weak to keep me away. I have only one mission. And that's to end your life." Loki said, his voice deep. Tony's eyes began to tear up, this isn't real. It can't be real. Loki is not going to just kill him.

"Who did this to you..." Tony choked, putting his hand on the glass. Loki didn't respond. He just stood there staring. "Please... I want my Loki back."

"He's never coming back." Loki smirked. He finally got his way. This is the new Loki.

"Okay... if you kill me.. will you become the old Loki..?" Tony asked. He didn't care if he died.

"Of course!" Loki lied, he wouldn't go back. Not anymore.

"Okay.. I think I can make that work" Tony rolled over to the desk and put his code in to open the doors. They slowly opened, air being released from the inside. Loki stepped out and slowly walked over to him. Tony's heart racing, he wasn't prepared to die. But he loved Loki so much, he would do anything for him. "I love you... I love you so much..." Tony repeated with every step Loki took.

"Are you ready to die?" Loki was now standing in front of Tony.

"I guess..." Tony slowly stood up, flinching from the pain. He wanted to get one last look at his husband, the man that changed him, that made him a better person. "I love you.." he said quietly as tears rolled down his cheek.

"I didn't love you" Loki said before he stabbed Tony, right in the heart. Tony immediately grabbed onto Loki, hugged him, it didn't hurt. He couldn't feel anything anymore.

Everything seemed to stop, like time was frozen. Tony saw himself holding onto Loki, as if he was already dead and out of his body. Just then everything turned back to all of the times with Loki, all of the laughs, the kisses, every smile Loki had Tony saw it. It's all gone. It's over now. All of the memories are gone. Would anyone even miss him? Would Loki even know? Was this all a trick? Just looking into Loki's eyes one last time, not noticing the red, but his beautiful green eyes he always knew and loved. Were now gone.

"I.. love you..." tony mumbled before everything went black. He collapsed onto the floor.
