More than just a friendship

Chapter 8 - He's right

Two days later, we're finally back at work. I'm really psyched about it and if it weren' because of what Sam said the other day I would enjoy getting to spend time with Josh. I know that Sam didn't mean that me and Josh would stop talking to each other but that's the way it has become. We've been avoiding each other after work because we don't want anyone to see us as more as friends. Because that's what we are. Friends. Everyone already know that we're really good friends but that doesn't matter right now. It is what it is and it needs to be a change. 

" Cut ! " Francis screams and it's time for lunch. Everyone goes back to their railers on the beach and since I , Josh and Sam share, we end up being together. 
" Would anyone like some water? " Sam asks and opens the refrigerator.
"Yeah, thanks. " Josh says and I mumble in agreement. Sam looks at us for a few seconds and then he rolls his eyes. 
" Why have you two been so weird the last few days ? It's really frustrating! "
" We have? " Josh pretends and looks at me .
I shake my head "No, what do you mean Sam?"
He throws a respective bottle with water to us "Is it because what I told you about looking like an old couple?" he sits down on a chair "In that case, you're silly. It was just a joke. " I look at Josh. 
"I think it has been as usual. " he says and raises the bottle to his mouth.
I nod "Me too."
 Okay, " Sam sighs and stands up " I'm going to go out now and let you two talk alone. Goodbye." then he goes out and slams the door behind him. 
I clear my throat "You know he 's right." I say
He nods and looks me in the eyes "And the reason why we've been acting so strange is that we agree with him." and just like that he makes my whole world to stop spinning. He has pressed the pausebutton on my life remote and it feels like he's the only one that exists.

Sorry for this really short chapter after this huge paus. I didn't know that anyone read it because the last time I checked my story had like 100 reads and now it has over 2000, which is crazy. I'm aware of that this chapter totally sucks but I promise you that the next one is going to be a lot better. Take care, xx.
