Later that same night I meet up with the whole cast at a nearby restaurant to get to know each other a little bit better since we're going to shoot the arena scenes these upcoming weeks. The last time we were here we shot only two scenes from the arena and the other scenes from the Capitol and the districts we shot back in the US.
"Hey Jen," Francis, our director, says when I settle down at the table ", how was your break?"
"It was great," I say ", very needed so now I'm ready to kill some monkeys again." I make him laugh but then something else takes his attention away from me.
"Joshua Ryan Hutcherson," he says with a huge grin on his face. I turn around to see Josh coming towards our table ", welcome to our tiny fiesta."
Josh laughs "Thanks Francis, it's good to be back." He sits down in the chair next to mine and then puts his arm around my shoulders "Hello Miss Lawrence." He says in a weird flirty way that makes the butterflies in my belly wake up "How are you feeling tonight my dear?"
"I am good, thank you," I say with a smile, trying to be flirty back ", what about you Mr Hutcherson?"
"I've never been better."
The food is great, the company is amazing and I feel happier than ever. With these people and in this business is where I belong. This is what I want to do for the rest of my life and it is with these people I want to do it even thought I don't know them that good yet but I feel like this is meant to be and I don't want it to ever end. That's what makes me scared. I'm scared that all this will be over before it even has started.
I'm really concentrated in tasting my steak when I hear someone across the table say my name. I look up and the first thing I get to see is a huge smile with two dimples. Sam.
"I never got the chance to congratulate you on your Oscar." He says, raising his glass of champagne.
"Oh, thank you." I say, feeling uncomfortable. I hate talking about myself and my career because that makes me feel so uncomfortable. I don't want people to think that I'm bragging about my awards and especially not my Oscar so I'm always trying to not talk about myself with others.
"So how was it, winning it?" He asks "I mean, I would probably die."
"It was... nervous." I cough uncomfortable "If it wasn't because of my dress my speech probably would have been better, but it was alright... I guess."
He puts a piece of tomato in his mouth, shewing it like he shewed the sugarcubes on set "Well I think you handled it excellent baby."After the dinner me and Josh decides to hang out a little in his room. When we arrive the sun has begun to go to sleep. I rush through the room to the balcony. I do not want to miss this.
"What is it?" Josh asks when he joins me at the balcony.
"Look how pretty it is." I say, pointing at the view. We settle down at the couch next to each other.
"It's Peeta's favorite color." Josh says, putting his feet on the table.
"Oh right." I smile "That color fits him."
"Me?"
"No, Peeta." I laugh.
"But we're the same person, Jen." he laughs with me.
"Peeta is kind of... warm and kind with a beautiful heart." I try to explain "The color fits his personality but since you're everything that Peeta is, except a baker, the color fits you too."
He smiles "Oh really?"
I smile, embarrassed for some reason "In fact, it fits you better."
