More than just a friendship

Chapter 13 - Climbing for wine and sushi

Climb a mountain. Climb a fucking mountain. What the hell was I thinking? Oh lord. 

We're standing on the ground with a huge, grey, wet, mossy mountain in front of us. A guide is going through all the safety stuff once again, telling us everything about what to do if we slip or whatever. I haven't really payed any attention to anything he's said these last couple of times. Hearing it once was enough and I now only want to get over with this. 

"You ready?" he asks, checking out harnesses once again. 

"Let's go." Josh answers beside me and then we're off. The guide is the first one to take a step, then there's Josh, me, Jena and on the end of the rope - Sam, who's actually kind of freaking out already. 

"Remember to take one step a time!" the guide yells at us as soon as I take my first step. The mountain is really wet and slippery and I actually regret coming with this suggestion, but I know that once we're done with this we get to celebrate with some wine and tasty food. That's really my only motivation to climb deadly thing right now. Not even the fact that Josh's bum is like two meters above my head is distracting me. I'll kind of have to look at it during this whole experience and normally I guess it would bother me and make me nervous but to be honest I'm too focused on the wine right now.

A few minutes later we're halfway to the top. Even though it freaks me out I keep looking down to the ground which makes me really dizzy and right now I just can't manage to move. I'm paralyzed. 

"Jen," Josh says from above ", Jen, look at me." I move my eyes from the ground to his eyes "We're almost at the top. Climbing down again is only going to make yourself disappointed and you know that too, right?" 

I take a deep breath "Yes." 

"Focus on me and only me and we'll be on the top in a blink, okay?" 

I nod "Okay." 

"Good. You can do this Jen. Katniss would have done it." 

And then he turns around to give the guide the approval to move forward again and I do what Josh told me to do. I focus on him and by him I mean his bum since that part of his body basically is the only thing I can see from down here. It makes me smile though because this is something I can mock him about forever.

He was right. In only a blink we're up at the top and the guide separates us from the rope. Jena comes up to me and gives me hug.

"It wasn't that hard wasn't it!" 

I laugh as I watch the view "No, it wasn't." 

She pats my back "They're coming with a van to take us down again. Apparently climbing down is too dangerous." 

"Oh thank god." I smile "I'm starting to get really hungry." 

She laughs "Yeah me too. What do you say about.... sushi?" 

Josh and Sam comes up to us, both smiling at the idea of sushi. 

"I'd love it." Sam says with his eyes all glittery.

Three hours later the food at one of the most famous sushi restaurants arrives at our table. It smells delicious and I bet it tastes even better. Jena and I just spent an hour at our hotel room (we checked in at one as soon as we were done with the mountain) doing our makeup and curling our hair and to be honest, we look amazing. Both Josh and Sam are wearing really nice shirts that the staff at the hotel probably had to iron for them. Anyways, we all look really good tonight which is fun because we always only hang out when we're sweaty and tired on set or after set. 

"Woah, this tastes incredible." Sam says from the other side of the table while taking a first bite "How's the wine?" 

I take a sip from my glass and nod "It's amazing." 

Josh, who's sitting on my left side agrees with me as he puts his glass back down on the table "Best wine I've ever had, I think."

Hi guys!!! I'm not even going to apologize because I know for sure that I'm the worst person ever at updating. Anyways,  I hope you liked this. The ending is quite bad but my inspiration disappeared so I couldn't come up with anything good. I can promise you though that I'll try to make the next chapter better than this one. I hope you all are having a great summer! :)
