The Fate Between Us
Chapter 24: Sign of the Times

The morning after, the day of Hayes' birthday adventure, was probably one of the worst ways for me to wake up, especially by my boyfriend. He tends to wake up early in the morning around 5 every single day which is ok, I can understand that. But to wake me up at 5 when my scheduled time for the day was 6 is not ok. He screeched this morning and started to jump up and down like a little girl screaming my name, waking up Hayes and I at the same time. We collided heads as we attempted to get up, rubbing my temples I noticed an odd feeling down below in my under wear. I groaned as Ethan yelled at me for having bled on his pants and the sheets last night. I rolled my eyes at him as he continued to tell me how utterly disgusting it was to have small drops of blood on him. My period finally came how great I thought, this wasn't the way I wanted to start off the day, Ethan kept urging me to go clean the mess up telling me that'd I had to pay for his expensive sleeping pajamas. I got up and walked over to my luggage as I pulled out today's outfit, grabbing my wallet I pulled out 80 dollars and threw them at Ethan.

Hayes on the other hand was upset at Ethan, he was yelling at for being rude to me over a period, something that was apart of my anatomy. He was furious at Ethan for waking him and i up over something like this, Hayes decided to go ahead and call room service so they could clean up the sheets and my clothes. He then told he that he'd set up a running bath for me while I dealt with Ethan. But to be truthful, I didn't want anything to do with him right now. I had an amazing day to look forward to, and even Ethan wasn't going to stop that for me. Ethan stormed out of the room as Hayes gave him a stern shout match as he went on his way. Hayes had pity in his eyes as I entered into the bathroom, honestly man I felt like I was being potty trained all over again, I mean it isn't embarrassing but it is at the same time.

As I took a shower, a million thoughts were registering through my head, as to where I stood with Ethan. I don't understand to be honest, he was so charming when I first met him, I sort of felt like a princess to be quite honest. Maybe Hayes was right in the beginning, even if it hurt to admit it, he was basically a wannabe asshole now. I turned off the shower and got dressed quickly as I could hear Nora fighting with Hayes over room service. I gave Nora a long hug as I walked out, quickly noticing we were both wearing the same romper, giving a small chuckle at this moment. I looked around seeing we had a packed room everybody waiting to leave.

Hayes decides to give me a piggy back ride towards the cars as we all arranged our groups, I could tell he was still angry at Ethan but I honestly didn't really care anymore. I was the leader of the pack of cars that led to Universal Studios for today's adventure. Hayes seemingly was about to pee his pants as soon as well pulled up to the parking for Universal. I giggled as he kept screaming thank you a bunch of times over and over again, getting Charlie annoyed he smacked Hayes in the head. As everyone scrambled out of their cars in the parking lot, Hayes came out of the side passenger seat and came running towards me giving me a tight hug. Everyone else looked awkward as he hugged me, I could feel tears on my shirt, making me wonder as to why he was crying but I shook it off. As Hayes let go everyone was racing each other towards the park, skipping along, grabbing each other's hand, and spinning around everywhere. But Charlie and I stayed behind everyone walking alongside each other, I could see the terrified look in his eye but I couldn't understand why.

Giving everyone their tickets, we all coordinate as to where we want to go first, the girls argue that we should go to Harry Potter first, and the boys argue we should visit Marvel. Everyone looks to me to make the final decision, but I just laugh and look over towards Hayes, it was his birthday after all, it was his decision. He wanted to get some Starbucks first, waiting in line to order his drink a bunch of fans were bombarding him. Walking out with his drink I asked him to give me a sip as I put in my own straw. Nora took a bunch of candids of us for us to post at some other time as we all traveled towards Marvel. We got onto the spider man ride, and the Hulk Rollercoaster laughing along with each other as Hayes decided next he wanted to get onto the Dr Doom ride. I told everyone that I would sit this one out, I didn't really like this one, I hated the feeling of being dropped up and down on a ride.

Hayes on the other hand wouldn't take no for an answer, he dragged me along into the ride making me the first person to go. Waiting for our turn in line Charlie seemed like he was getting sicker and sicker by the minute as we got closer and closer to the front. When we finally arrived he didn't really throw up, but he seemed frightened about this ride like I was. The man at the front told us he needed a single rider, Hayes unwillingly pointed me out as that single rider, telling me that he'd wait for me as soon as the ride was over for the both of us. He was saying he was going to reward me with some food as well, making me give a small laugh before turning to the ride. As I walked along, the people sat us down into the ride strapping us in, a little girl was sitting next to me seeming just as nervous as I was. I gave her a smile as she noticed who I was and starting laughing and chattering along. All of a sudden the ride starts to go up slowly and steadily, the little girl by now gripping my hand as we went up. We reached half way and I looked down below seeing all of the park, it was a pretty sight to be honest but my thoughts were disrupted as we made the first drop.

I shifted in my seat uncomfortably as we went up three-fourths again before dropping down, the little girl's grip on my hand growing stronger and stronger. As we went up the 3rd time, we went all the way to the top, but for some reason the ride stopped there. A speaker in each seat was letting the riders know that we were dealing with technical difficulties. They were letting us know we would be getting firefighter assistance as we came off the ride. I reassured the little girl we would be fine, that these next 2 hours would fly by fast, that there was nothing to worry about. Though the help of the other guests screaming wasn't really helping her convince herself that. I gave her a small smile and a nod as she griped my hand looking up instead of down. I whispered once more that everything was going to be ok...

But I didn't know these next two hours were going to be a hell of a torture...
