The Fate Between Us:
Chapter 28- Camera Chains
Once more I apologize for updating late, I got grounded but I've figured out a way to keep proceeding with the book :)

Stepping out into the humid heat, feeling the cool breeze hit my face as camera after camera flashes. Sort of how in classical movies it shows a slow motion detail of an older camera taking a picture, the bulb flashing slowly, hearing each click after an hour. Someone had decided to go out to dinner, most likely Johnson himself, we were being bombarded by reporter after reporter, asking me the same question... As we moved along towards the restaurant with a body guard shooing away the reporters,I felt my throat start to tighten, and I could feel myself about to have a mental break down. As we sat inside the restaurant the waiter made sure we went to a exclusive area so the reporters wouldn't get anywhere near me. The sushi room itself was large but I felt as though the walls were closing in on me. As we all entered, the waiter offered us to take a seat at the small cushions, everyone sitting in the same usual arrangement.

The waiter came around asking Johnson,Hayes,Charlie and I what we wanted to drink, reaching me last. Just as quickly as he asked is when he came back with our drinks. Hayes got the bright idea to start speaking for me afterwards when the waiter proceeded to ask about food. I twiddled with my thumbs while everyone talked about the local news, avoiding any slight hint of what happened so I wouldn't become aggravated. It seemed like the time was going by so slowly , I could almost hear the ticking of the clock through all the chatter. As the clock hit the 30 minute mark is when everyone finished uo their food and was ready to leave. When we all walk out I stay in the back behind everyone, but I get pulled over to the side by one of the waiters, who proceeds to question me about the accident. He starts off with a minor "Hey I don't mean to interfere but what exactly happened out there you know what I mean? Like I don't want to anger you but it's just something that needs to get out into the world by now..."  He starts to trail off as I look at him in shock. Hayes notices that I was still standing near the waiter, my brain being unresponsive telling me to move.  He grabs my hand and drags me towards the car, avoiding discussion with everyone was well, making sure that I was alright.

I could feel him staring at me, like a heat wave hitting Arizona that's how it felt now, I was blushing but I avoided any eye contact with him and kept my head low. I had an urge in the pit of my stomach to go blow off steam, I wanted to release all this pent in anger, but I it would mean letting Hayes come along too. I shifted myself before putting my hand towards Hayes' ear and whispering my idea to him. He seemed sort of hesitant at first though, as if my idea was super horrible, as if it was some death defying fate but he soon enough agreed with me.

(Scene change)

As Hayes pulled up to the site, I could feel my stomach knot by the anger I was about to let out in a few seconds. I jumped out and grabbed the gear heading towards the tennis ball machines and turned them on. Hayes seemed to be really confused at this point as to why I would bring bats and turn on a tennis ball machine. As the first one started to come forth I swung the bat, hearing the thud of the ball hit the metallic bat, letting the ball flow gracefully in the air as it zoomed like a rocket ship to space. As time had slowed I looked over towards Hayes, seeing the amazement in his eyes as to how far the tennis ball was going. I could feel my legs crumble as I let out all the anger in that first ball, I fell to the floor and bawled my eyes out. By then Hayes seemed to be very confused, he didn't know what to do, he didn't know if I should be comforted or be left alone.

I wanted something and yet I didn't know what it was, my mind floated into thoughts but my body cried. Hayes came and just hugged me as we sat in the tennis court. I could hear his deep breathing as he listened to my desperate cries out into the world. He picked me up from the floor as I screamed, but my mind wasn't telling my body to do any of this, this was happening uncontrollably. My mind was sound but my body was freaking out, a panic attack? An Anxiety Attack? I couldn't put my finger on it but I'd assume my body was having a physical breakdown I guess you could say. As Hayes placed me into the car and put the seatbelt on, I whimpered to myself, repeating "it's going to be ok" Over and over again, like a broken record. Tears rolled down my eyes as I stared at the sky praying to myself that'd I stop. Hayes seemed to be hurt in a way that he couldn't do anything, but just as he was about to say something I stopped, like a time bomb that hits zero and is just waiting to explode again. The car went silent, as I whimpered softly, easing myself to sleep, but I already knew Hayes was going to have a long night ahead of himself. Especially if tonight was going to be one of those nights, and I wasn't looking forward to any of it, especially now seeming weak.

Because Devil's Night is bound to happen once more and especially tonight to my luck.
