Kim Taehyung was created a beautiful arch angel. He was perfect in every way. He listened, never questioned his orders, he did everything right. However there was one fault. He loved human beings. Their ability to be so spontaneous, their emotions, their freedom. All of it he loved all of it. When he gave orders to people he made sure they heard him took the order to heart and did it. He was wonderful at his job, until it wasn't enough. He would give extra orders, like buy a homeless person a meal, or hug the first person you recognised. These tasks hurt nothing but it made his superiors crazy.
"Why can't you just do your job?"
"What do you mean Gabriel?"
"Your job is to give specific orders, nothing else. You add in all this extra and it's not asked for, not needed."
After that Taehyung was placed as a guardian angel. He was a conscience for many people and kept them away from trouble. His favorite were teens, their problems were always easily fixable and usually ended with the love of a parent conforming them. He also got many people sober and brought back faith to those who had lost it. He was able to become more personal with the humans he worked with because they thought they were talking with their own minds. Leaving all their walls and defenses down. He was able to see all their good, bad and in a few cases ugly. But he still appreciated their existence and hoped their lives flourished and blossomed like the flowers that grew on earth. Humans and plants were two in the same really, all living beings were.
"Ah Taehyung! Thank you for all the hard work you have done. I'm sure you will be showing significant improvement when your course comes to pass." Another angel said to him through wavelength. He knew what they were speaking of, even if he didn't want to. It was exam period. It happened every five human years. Usually Taehyung passed with flying colors because humans loved him. Or so he liked to think, but this was the first time he would be taking the exam as a guardian angel. He was not nervous but he was a tiny bit unsure.
His course was very specific and he was placed with a human who typically ignored his conscious with every single decision he made. Taehyung was positive he would change that. The man was Korean, middle aged and had done unspeakable things. He was once a pastor, unfortunately his wife died and he blamed the Lord. He let sin overtake him and began hurting people, worse each time. He killed, raped, abused, tortured, you name it he's done it. He was a bad seed and he had one chance of redemption. It was a perfectly bated hook, all Taehyung had to do was make the bait seem taster than the sin he was wallowing in. So he connected to the humans mind and got to work he studied and saw everything. From the moment the man was born to his present day of walking the earth. He had kidnapped a women. Who looked like his wife, he hadn't hurt her yet. However he was planning to do unimaginable horrors to her, and soon.
'This isn't worth it. I should give up this damn trade and accept my crime.' Taehyungs message was clear and strong. The man sighed and heard every bit of it while he looked at a picture of his dead wife.
'I bet she's up there watching me. I bet she's dissapointed.' Taehyungs messages were painful but the human needed pain in order to weaken his senses and stay out of trouble. The man replied to his own thoughts, as if he knew he wasn't the only one in control of them.
'But why do that when I don't want to get into those pearly gates anyway. He took my wife you see.' He shot back and Taehyung nearly lost concentration.
'She loved me though. God loves me, he had a bigger plan for her.' Taehyung replied panicked. The human once again shot back, fearful and angry.
'A bigger plan to hurt me! To ruin me, I will never forgive the miserable prick!' Taehyung was going to lose, the man set down the photo and picked up a flashlight, heading down his basement to where the women was locked up.
'This isn't what she would've wanted, she's waiting for me. She needs me.' Taehyung brought the message and the human stopped in his tracks. He looked at the flashlight and ignored the thought, pushing onward into the basement. 'Stop! Your crazy, you can't kill her. She did nothing wrong! You used to work for the Lord!' The human was now confused, he looked terrified. Taehyung had broken the thin layer of reality that made sure people never suspected their thoughts were being manipulated. 'This isn't you, you've been taken over by sin, you must stop!' The man gripped his head the women was untied and the basement door was open. She got up to run out but he stopped her. 'Let her go please.' The thought was calm but the man did as he was told.
"Get out of my head!" He screamed his eyes bulging and his mind racing.
'Please stay calm sir you did the right thing.' He screamed and bashed his head against the wall. 'Human stop your okay.' He continued and Taehyung pleaded with him to quit, he begged and pleaded right up until the man grabbed a gun and ate a bullet. This had never happened before Taehyung felt an array of emotions fall over him and for the first time in his existence he felt what it truly meant to be human.
"I'm so dissapointed, but I love you. Let's try another path." He heard the wavelength and it was warm it was comforting, beautiful. Then he felt extreme pain as his grace was ripped from his body and he was placed on earth. In the mans dingy basement covered in blood, his carcass laid on the floor disfigured from the bullet. Taehyung imagined a human form while he had fallen and he was naked. The floor was cold and he felt something heavy on his unfamiliar flesh. He had a giant pair of black wings and a black halo to match. He was scared, he was tired, cold, hungry, angry, confused, he was a lot of things, he was also pretty much human. He has the remains of his angelic self in his mind and even on his outer body, but he was human.
