3rd Person's POV

Napatanga si Emerald sa harap ng pinto habang paulit-ulit na binabasa sa kaniyang isipan ang pangalan na nakalagay sa may pintuan.

"Huy! Okay ka lang?" Tanong ni Christian sa kaniya. Napalunok ng marahan si Emerald.

"O-Oo. Ako pa ba? Hehe." Kung kanina ay naibisan na kahit papaano ang nerbyos niya, ngayon ay nadagdagan na naman ito, mas lalo pang lumala.

"Wag ka nga sabing kabahan eh! Mukha ka ng timang, promise!" Tumawa ng mahina si Christian thinking na mawawala kahit konti ang kaba ni Emerald.

Pumasok na sila sa kwarto at sa paningin ni Emerald ay tila nag slow motion ang lahat, mula nung pumasok sila hanggang sa mag salubong ang kanilang mga mata.

"Kingina, after 3 years! Thank you tadhana, maraming maraming salamat!" Sinabi ni Emerald sa isipan niya. Meeting her 5 years long boyfriend again was the last thing she wanted to do.

Kaya pala kanina pa siya sobrang kinakabahan. Sobra to the point na hindi na normal.

Masamang kutob plus kinakabahan ng bonggang bongga. It's a miracle at hindi pa siya hinihimatay ngayon.

Nakapasok na sila sa loob at sinalubong kagad ni Christian ng yakap at halik ang kaniyang boyfriend.

Ngayon lang na-realise ni Emerald na hindi niya tinangkang tanungin kung ano ang pangalan ng nobyo nito, not even once and she regretted it.

"Christine! And.. Emerald.. Right?" Nagpatay malisya si Michael.

"Y-yes. I'm Emerald. Christian's future wife in papers." Sinabi ni Emerald. Hindi niya pinansin ang pagkautal niya sa unang word. Remembering everything makes her nervousness vanish.

FLASHBACK

Emerald's POV

Tinignan ko yung oras. 6:55 pm, 5 mins early ako sa napagusapang oras namin ni Michael. Pinaghandaan ko talaga ito kasi it's our 65th monthsary. 5th anniversary namin last 5 months. I just can't believe that everything will last for 5 years.

I firmly believe that he's the one standing, waiting for me at the aisle. I can't wait for that day.

Napangiti ako nung nakita ko na siya. He's wearing a stripes long sleeve at nirolyo niya lang 'to up to his elbows. I must admit, in just these simple clothes, He's making me fall for him all over again.

But he's not happy. He should be happy. It's our monthsary! Baka naman may surprise sakin. Kunyari malungkot lang, uso 'yon diba?

Mas lalo akong ngumiti nung nasa harap ko na siya. Ano kayang pasabog niya ngayon? Imagination pa nga lang na-e-excite na ako, what if na lang kung totoo na? I mentally squealed.

"Happy 65th monthsa--" I happily greeted him but he cut me off.

"Alam kong ayaw mo magpaligoy-ligoy. That's why I'm telling you this. We need to break up Em."

My jaw dropped even my heart. Did I hear it right? Part parin ba 'to ng surprise niya?

"Wh--" Once again, pinutol niya ang sasabihin ko.

"Maghiwalay na tayo. You don't deserve me."

"I understand that much but why?" No. Haha. Is this happening?

"There are many reasons why we need to break up."

"Then give me atleast one valid reason!" Sunod-sunod na tumulo ang luha ko. What a great timing it is. I can't believe this. I fucking can't believe he's doing this to me!

Mukha na siguro akong tanga ngayon kasi nakangiti parin ako even though I'm crying. I'm still hoping na he's kidding... But I know him, he never joke about this thing and that made my hope dispersed.

And as the next words dropped by his mouth like a nuclear bomb, all of me, every single cells in me, broke down.

"I'm tired of you." He just said that and left me. All alone.

END OF FLASHBACK

(Back to 3rd Person's POV)

"Emerald..?" Nais sanang tanungin ni Michael ang last name nito even though he already knows it.

"Pardon me, but I don't think you need to know other details about me." Emerald said. Hostility is evident in her voice. Napadako ang tingin niya kay Christian at kahit nagulat ito ay pinanlakihan siya nito ng mata signalling her to stop acting rude.

"Emerald Vivienne." Si Christian na ang sumagot para sa kaniya at napairap naman si Emerald.

"C'mon, he knows that damn well." Mahinang sabi ni Emerald pero narinig parin siya ng dalawang tao sa kwarto.

"What do you mean?" Tanong ni Christian. Sinamaan siya ng tingin ni Michael.

"Oh. Nothing. Nothing at all." Emerald gave them her sweetest smile. She doesn't know why she's acting all bitter out of a sudden.

"Anyway, now you've met me. What's more to do? Are you going to stop our wedding?" Emerald smirked.

"Emerald!" Hindi na napigilan ni Christian ang boses niya, napataas ito.
"Why are you acting so rude all of a sudden?!" Sinigawan na siya ni Christian. Obviously, kakampihan ni Christian ang nobyo nito lalo na't may sakit ito.

"That's none of your business."

"Yes it is my business because the one who you're talking so rudely with is my boyfriend!" Sumisigaw na si Christian at pigil na pigil na ang luha ni Emerald. Michael seems not to care about the scenario he's currently looking at.

"Fine, wanna know why? Because he was my boyfriend. I had a five year relationship with him and he just left me and just said he's tired of me. He didn't even told me that he likes eggplant rather than clams." Emerald blurted all of it. Acting all brave even though she wants to cry a river.

Napanganga si Christian after all he heard pero the words that have left his mouth are the reasons why Emerald hurriedly left.

"Yon naman pala eh. 'Had' na pero bakit parang bitter ka?" In-emphasise talaga ni Christian ang 'Had'. His voice is full of sarcasm and nung umalis na si Emerald ay parang nahimasmasan siya.

"Nako! Why did I do that? Paano pag umurong siya bukas? Pa'no na yung financial support ni Lolo?" Sabi ni Christian sa isipan niya.

Emerald knows na hindi siya bitter. It's just that, it were the words that she wanted to say. It all got piled up inside and after all these years, boom. It exploded. All her feelings that have bottled up from that day exploded today.

And all she hoped was for Christian to understand her feelings.

But then, it didn't reach Christian.
