By accident

Chapter 7

For the last 3 hours Loz and I have been trying to find an outfit for me for this date with Ollie tomorrow. The whole time Loz has not stopped talking about it. She's had 5 different mood swings. One minute she's over the moon with excitement for me, the next she's angry at me for not telling her. Then she starts to be this over-protective best friend, carrying on about making sure I don't let a man take advantage of me blah blah. Then it all hits her and she starts crying because she wishes she was in my shoes...

What an exciting 3 hours, and we still haven't found me an outfit!

We both crash onto my bed, giving up on trying to find the perfect outfit for tomorrow.

"I'm just going to message him and say I can't go."

"NO! You will not. We will find you something I Promise! Let's go to my house and find something?" Lauren suggests.

We're at Lauren's house, rummaging through her wardrobe still haven't found anything. I need something that says 'young but mature', 'fun but smart', 'innocent but sexy'. We decide to search through Emma's wardrobe. 

Emma is Lauren's older sister, she's 20 and is super fashionable. She's studying Fashion and Design at UNI. Her goal is to one day be a famous fashion designer. So she'd have to have something decent. We pull out so many outfits, so many different brands, everything she owns is so expensive. None of this is me. 

"Loz, don't worry"

"What do you mean?" She replies.

"None of this is me, plus your sister would kill you if we wore something of hers."

"Yeah but she won't find out. Come on, surely theres something in here that stands out to you?" 

I look at all the rest of the clothes in her wardrobe, I look at the clothes on the floor, I look around her room and suddenly notice this dress on the back of her chair. I pick it up, it's florally with a 'V' shape neck line and is quite ripply at the bottom. It is a perfect casual-dressy dress. I look at Lauren and give her the look. This is the one. 

We hear a car pull up outside. I think it's Emma. I look around and her room is a mess, clothes are everywhere!

"Lauren, is that Emma?"

"Uh-huh", she responds.

"What do we do?", I ask.

"We clean, fast!" she says and starts to run around frantically.

We pick up all the clothes off the ground and hang them up again. Every shoe and bag put perfectly back into place. She's entering the front door. We've almost finished putting everything away. 

"What will we say we're doing in here?"

"Uh,  I haven't thought of that yet. Quick shove the dress in your bra!"

"What!?"

"Just give yourself boobs!"

I do as she says and evenly place the dress into my bra. Wow, look how good I'd look if I had big boobs...

"Stop staring at yourself you weirdo! Lets get out of here" Lauren demands.

As we exit her room Emma has just reached the top of the stairs.

"Oi, what do you think you're doing in my room" She screams.

I walk past her and she stares a me, then stares at my chest. I give her a faint smile and start to power walk to Lauren's room. 

"Uh, I was looking for my iPod, have you got it?" Lauren asks her.

Quick thinking Loz, don't think she's ever thought of something so ingenious that fast in her life.

"No I haven't... Uh, since when did Ruby get boobs?" She asks, slightly confused.

"Oh I know right.  She's just sprouted over the last, uh, couple of weeks..." Lauren replies.

"Wow, that was fast... anyway, don't go into my room again, got it!" She screams.

"Yep, got it! let me know if you see my uh, iPod anywhere." Lauren says and she runs off. 

Lauren enters into her room where I am currently sitting on her bed biting my nails. 

"Oh my god that was so close!" She exclaims. 

"What happened? I was so scared, she just stared at my chest and I was thinking 'Oh shit she knows'"

"No, oh my gosh we actually bonded for like 5 seconds all thanks to your suddenly oversized boobs!" She says in laughter. 

We both crack up laughing until our stomachs start to ache. Wow, that was a close one.

 "Now try on the dress, you have date tomorrow!"
