"Psst, Adelia, psst! Wake up!" Someone whispered, soon they were poking my face with a fork.
"What is it!" I exclaimed,"im sleeping!"
" You missed dinner and you looked to peaceful to awake for dinner, you have drool right there by the way, as i was saying I brought you food because you must eat."
"I'm by no means of an angel if I need food so much and sleep. Are you sure I'm not human?" I said back, gratefully taking the plate. It had a sandwich and lettuce, along with that he gave me a glass of water.
"Your special." Was all Alexander said.
"Whatever." I mumbled stuffing the sandwich in my face.
"You eat like a man."
" You want to end up like the last few people who made a comment about me seeming like a man?" I said rudely."I am either fed up with your crap and simply go on however I please, no one helped me so I hiked up my skirt and walked, or I just feel comfortable enough to be able to act as I do. That's good."
" I see." He said.
"In this case, I'm just famished. Now if your appalled you can leave." I replied smoothly.
"It's quite alright, all the other girls just act proper all the time, it's just your different." He smiled and looked past me toward the window.
"Uh okay? Is that good or bad, I really do hope it's good. Also Daisy is actually very fun loving and isn't proper with other females such as myself." I said while turning toward the window I was about to ask what he was looking at but my question soon died, as I saw with my own eyes.
A dark figure was running toward us, it's eyes glowed red. I screamed, it definitely wasn't human. It's body was titled in a way. It's left shoulder lower than its right. It was unsettlingly tall.
It smoothed itself against the window. It's claws came down leaving a long scratch. I ran toward Alex. My plate shattered against the floor.
He grabbed me and ran toward the wall. His back was against it his hand on the doorknob. It wouldn't open, so he completely smashed it, kicking it down. He picked me up and continued to run.
" We are going to the weapons room. Ever shot a gun, Miss Adelia?" He said quickly. He wasn't out of breath nor did he break a sweat.
"It was just one why didn't you kill it?" He said they hunt those wretched creatures? It wasn't an out of the norm occurrence.
"This land has never had a demon set foot on it in 186 years, love. Also those demons come in packs, I have no weapons on me."
"I've never held a gun." I mumbled. I was horrified. Demons hadn't come on this property in years, though days after I come they arrive in mass."
"Daisy! Daisy!" I began to scream. She was a woman she couldn't fight. When Alex put me somewhere safe with that pistol I'm sure Daisy would be with me.
She ran out of the weapons room. A thin white t-shirt and black pants. Tall boots had knifes sticking out of them. A belt along her hips sagged a bit low from the weight of the numerous guns, bullets , knifes, and a set of boomerangs?
"Those along things are knifes shaped like a boomerang so the come back. They have padding in a certain spot, if you didn't know you'd lose your hand! Isn't it great?" She laughed," My grandfather made 'em. Few nephil can use them."
I must have looked mortified," Your a lady, you don't fight?"
That was one thing society taught me that I kept. After all some people need to stay to teach the next generation.
Alex carried me into the weapons room as Daisy ran out into the courtyard, she screamed for Everyone else to come along.
Alexander stayed in his suit. He didn't change like Daisy. He grabbed numerous weapons, save the boomerang looking item. He did as he said he would and handed me the pistol.
"You don't want to fight do you?" He murmured. He looked at me in that moment like I was a stupid careless creature.
"I do want to fight. Hand me that there knife, please." I said, I hated the look he gave me so I would show him I wasn't a stupid creature who was no longer his friend.
He ran out towards the courtyard with me in tail.
Everyone was already out. Nephil dressed in gear like Daisy. An array of grays, blacks, and whites. They slashed at dozens of demons who were surely going to win.
Caroline looked angry that Alex brought me to fight. Charles didn't notice. He had no weapons? He merely fought them bare- handed.
He'd find whatever their version of a heart was and rip it out. It scared me. Suddenly claws stabbed through my shoulders. Alex was fighting another demon who tried to attack me. He could only do so much, I was to distracted to fight. The scene was horrible.
Those claws came through my lower back and out my stomach. They lifted me up as I screamed bloody murder.
No one heard over the screams of demons. Charles saw but it was to late. I yelled his name as tears began soaking with my blood.
This mystery creature with talons took me away as I fell limp. I couldn't handle the sharp pain. I blacked out and fell into horrifying nightmares, the multiple scenarios in which I could've died or might have instead of this.
