I found my way back. I was mere blocks away. So stupid yet smart. They figured he would go very far as to not be found. Yet it could be found so easily.

I stood on the porch ready to knock on the door and run to Charles. I heard a discussion in the window instead.

"We must stop. We are only tiring our resources. I promise we will find her, she is strong enough to stay alive. He wants her alive. So we will take a brake, but I won't stop looking for hints." Caroline said.

" Caroline. We need to find her. She's stupid, wreck less. I told you what she did! She'll get herself killed. That's blood on your hands." Charles yelled.

I was furious. I went to the back door of the house and let myself in. I went to my room not letting anyone see me. I entered my room to see my sister on the bed staring at the door. As if she was waiting for someone. She sat up eyes large she was about ready to scream. I ran to her and put my hand over her mouth.

"Don't make a sound! Were leaving on the next boat to London." I said. She didn't ask questions as she went to her room and got her bags. The only reason she, a mundane, stayed was because she was my sister.

I packed my bag up when I heard a man coming into my room. I hide on the other side of the bed. It was Charles. He walked to my vanity and set down his box that I discovered in his room. He began sketching me. As if my room brought him memories of me.

I crawled under the bed and made my way to the door with my bag. The door had been left open as I made my way out. I had found multiple drawings that Charles made under my bed. As if when he messed up he'd leave it under my bed because they weren't good enough.

I stood and put them in my bag and rushed to my sisters room I let the door fall closed behind me.

She was crying on the bed.

"I can't do it. I can't leave. Jaime, he, I can't leave him." She whispered.

"You can write to him. If he cares enough he will find you. This house is a careless empty shell, Victoria. We need to go." I whisper yelled.

"Your right." She sighed and stood. We snuck out and walked in silence to get a ticket for the next ride to London.

We sat on the bench where I met Charles.

"It'll be alright, Victoria." I said squeezing her hand.

"Not for you it wont." She said looking in my eyes. I already knew that. It wasn't ever going to be alright, but a short time of peace is enough.
