Charles P.O.V
I walked through the forest silently. The funeral was over already. People were going home. Few knew her, others who cried simply cried because they didn't witness the beauty of her.
Everyone walked to the carriages I told them I would see them later I needed to walk and clear my mind.
I had walked through the trees when I saw a meadow with a pond. I saw two girls run across to water. One fell in and never came backup. The second hesitated as if she were afraid. Then she turned around and fell in the water. She never surfaced except once and went back under.
She had fiery red hair and pale skin. She worn a flower crown on her head. She looked right at me before sinking back in.
I knew she wasn't a faerie, I knew it was Adelia. She had been pulled into a land of tricky devils.
I stood frozen. I was glad she wasn't dead, but it only meant she would suffer. My legs finally moved as I ran to the pond. I fell in backwards like Adelia had and sank to the bottom, hands grasped my arms and pulled me through sand. Two guards and pulled me through.
"Nephillim." One of them growled.
"This is important you have to let me in. I must speak to the king now." I said looking them in the eye forcefully.
"Fine. Next time you won't be so lucky to have your little angel." The other said. I pushed past them and ran quickly.
All I could think was about was the fact Adelia was alive. It pushed me to run faster. I yelled for her. Everyone looked at me knowing what I was doing.
I saw her about to enter the doors to talk to the king and queen. I yelled her name again and she turned around. Tears began to fall from her eyes. I ran faster. She said my name. I ran faster. She smiled. I ran faster. I practically tackled her as I hugged her. We fell to the floor.
"Charles." She began to say but I cut her off.
"Adelia I love you. When I was told you were dead, it tore me apart. I couldn't go on without thinking about what my last words were. The last thing I did." I touched her face tracing the scar, she winced. "I can't live with myself knowing I did this."
"It was your fault. I hurt you, Daisy hurt you, and you were drunk when I found you. It's my fault." She said.
"None of this is your fault! You are perfect. I'm glad your alive." I whispered.
"I love you to." She said. I looked at her and smiled then pulled her to me so there was no space between us and held her.
