We went on our walk through a pretty little park. It was empty, save an old couple who sat at a park bench by the oak tree.
We walked and talked, Daisy told me about Charles and why he reacted how he did.
" He's a simple boy, dear Adelia tell me, would you chase an angel if you saw one? Imagine you were I, roaming green fields covered in flowers, daisies everywhere." She giggled at her last comment. She kept going explaining the little world she was creating.
"Trees so, so, so tall you looked straight up at the trunks seeing no end!"
"Daisy, I don't think in your world you've created any angels for me to chase!" I exclaimed.
"Ah, right, right. Ok you lay in the flowers your arms out, letting the sun cover your face." As she explains she lays on the grass her hat falling on the way and the flowers consuming her body.
" A beautiful boy lays next to you, but on his other side a girl, very pretty, holds his hand." She grabs my hand, with a tear in her eye she goes on, " your heart beats for him, each breath you take is very him, your eyes stay on his face. He will be yours, but alas the silver girl takes the golden boy. The simple metallic kiss sends sparks, while the other girl waits, her heart still beating for him. Though she can't have him." She stopped tears in her eyes, she keeps them trained on the skies.
I choked up, unsure where all that came from, when the sudden Daisy jumps up, very....happy?
She laughs, "anyway, let's go explore some more, what do you say!"
"What?B-b-but you just, what?" I sat wiping the tears. She stood up at took my arm and tugged me. I stood still confused about what just happened.
"P.s. you chased the angel and he flew away. P.P.sYou cried. P.p.s.s your the angel in life he's the well you, I'm just guessing." Daisy whispered as if someone might hear.
"Oh." I mouthed back. Was she serious right now? I mean I barely knew Charles, I didn't think he cared for me especially after the incident with Alex.
How did I even end up here with these people...
