Alex's P.O.V

The demons just stopped fighting and ran. they disappeared into the shadows. We were losing. To many demons had been conjured.

We all gathered and assessed the damage. Many were lost.

I myself only had one person on my mind. That was Adelia. I knew she had left yet Caroline refused to believe this.

I entered the house few lights cast eerie shadows. I looked around the front room when a slick puddle caught my eye. It surrounded two people. William and Adelia.

I fell to my knees. That's when I noticed a gold liquid mixing with red. He simply bled normal blood. Adelias veins had been filled with liquid gold. She was a special angel who should have lived.

A tear slipped down my face as I sat on my knees looking at her face.

She reminded me of a fragile porcelain doll who had been shattered. Her eyes were still open. The beautiful blue stared hopefully at the door as if she expected someone to come through. This made the heart-wrenching feeling hurt more, knowing I could've done something, yet I did not.

I didn't hear the shuffling of feet but I felt a hand on my shoulder, a light feminine hand. It was Margret.

"There's nothing you could have done. She did what she had to do, she knew the consequences. She wasn't simply an angel. Good or bad. She was in between, she was an avenging angel." Margret said in a soft voice.

"I just, I could've saved her. She died because of us. Because of me." I said.

"No its not your fault, stand up." She said sternly. I stood and she led me to Caroline.

"Caroline, she's gone." I said when we found her. Her face was of horror and sadness. "She killed William, she got what she wanted."

"I must go talk to Mr. Winchester." Caroline rushed away.

"Let's go, we can take the carriage back. I'll have the driver come back for the others. I'm sorry Alex." Margret said grabbing my arm locking it with hers.

I got no sleep that night. Margret laid with me trying to comfort me. She knew I was having trouble with this.

Caroline came back with Charles and some girl. I was in no mood to find out what was going on as they sat in the parlor discussing things.

I laid down, my head in Margret's lap. I prepared myself, telling myself Adelia was gone. I had to forget her, and that's what I did.
