DAWN'S POV
Sat on the sofa with Adam to my right, we are watching a movie called 'Warm Bodies' on Netflix. Hart was off with Jason, Ian, Merome and Ty being taught how to play Spleef on Minecraft.
'Are you happy?' Adam asked me.
'What do you mean?' I look up at him, connecting my eyes with his.
'I mean, with me, with Hart....with us.' He said, taking my hand in his.
'Of course I am! I mean, Hart may not be our own blood, but she is still great. I'm sorry I can't have children, but she's perfect. I love her like my own. Like OUR own.' I say.
'I know. Hart is our daughter now, and she makes us happy. Look at what she's done to the others.' Adam pauses and gestures to Hart and the guys laughing and high fiving as she won a Spleef match. 'I have never seen them so happy in my life. She seems to make everybody happy. Hart may be blind, but she still can see the positivity that she is giving off. Why nobody ever chose her before, I will never know...' Adam smiled as we watched Hart.
'It's because she is blind. But I don't care. Because we will encounter problems, but I know we can overcome them together.' I say and look at Adam who hugs me close to him.
'Yeah. We are a family now. We'll be married soon and everything will be perfect.' Adam sighs.
'Dawn?' Hart asks as she walked over to where we were sat.
'What's wrong?' I say, sitting up.
'Mind if I sit next to you?' She asked.
'Sure. We're watching Warm Bodies.' I say as Hart sits next to me.
'I love the book. Max got me audiobooks to listen to at the orphanage when I was bored and couldn't watch you guys. That's how I read...kinda.' She said as she cuddled up next to me and rested her head on my lap.
Stroking her hair, I smile at Adam. 'You alright there?' I ask her.
'Yeah. Just tired Dawn.' She yawned.
'OK. Those boys wear you out playing Spleef?' Adam said.
'Yeah. Shame Jason is too good at Spleef for me to shoot him off.' Hart laughs. 'I'm glad you guys adopted me. Otherwise I'd be stuck there forever.' Hart said.
'When you're 18 you can go though to live on your own.' Adam said.
'Yeah. But being blind means laods of problems. I'd either be sent to a caring home place or something like that. But I'd rather live in a house with people who love me, who won't leave me.'
We watched the film until the other guys in Team Crafted came in after shutting down the computors. They sat down and watched the film with us.
'How did Spleef go?' Adam asked.
'Alright. Hart did pretty good!' Jerome said, sitting next to Mitch (#meromerawesome).
'How was it there Lil' Benja?' Mitch asked but no responce came.
Glancing down, I guessed but wasn't sure why she wasn't answering us.
'Looks like Hart's worn out from Spleefing.' Ty chuckled.
'Yeah. Can't blame her though. She's had a few busy days.' I smile.
