Waking up

KAITLIN'S POV (Yeah boi!!!)

I waltzed into the ward after hearing news about Hart. Walking over to her, there were two guys asleep as well as Hart. Presumably the people who adopted her. I sighed and pulled over another chair and sat down.

'What have you gotten into now huh? Caught up in trouble again, per the norm with you isn't it.' I smile as the beeping of the montiors when off in a smooth rhythm.

'It's weird without you. Place isn't the same without ya. I got fired from my job but thankfully got a new one at a game store. Got so much to tell ya when you wake up.' I say, expecting her to reply with a joke.

'Guess I'll stay here. Noone can tell me otherwise with them knocked out like that.' I say to myself and listen to some music on my iPod.

HART'S POV

I was in the all-too-familiar darkness that was my life. Each night, I dream of seeing the light of the sun and the faces of my family. But that is nothing but a dream. In this colorless void, I was freezing. Shivering, I curl up in a ball, determind to keep warm or even attempt to. I pulled my clothes tightly around me, wimpering in the bitterness. I wasn't sure where I was. Was this death? Is this utter lonliness and freezing chills what I have to suffer for for eternity? Surely not... hopefully not...

Suddenly, a warm burst overcame me, banishing the bitter coldness I was enveloped in. I felt refreshed from it. What was going on? Then, something astonishing happened. Something, I never thouhgt was possible. There was something there, at I felt it coming towards me. But I felt entised to it, like...I was being drawn to it... and then....

KAITLIN'S POV

I was sorting out my jacket to wear when I heard a murmer. I snap my head up and look around. The guys were asleep but Hart was slowly regaining consiousness. Sitting up, I smile and tuck away my iPod in my pocket. She sat herself up on the bed, sighing as she did so.

'Morning sunshine!' I greet.

She shuffled around slightly and slowly opened her eyes.

HART'S POV

I opened my eyes. But, I was no longer surrounded by black... instead, the world was glowing? My eyes cleared everything up adn I sat scared. I....I...was...seeing? Panic filled me and I pushed myself backwards harshly. My breathing picked up and I was shaking. A beeping sound sped up and got more frequent. Something moved and I was gasping in fright.

'NO! WHAT'S GOING ON? STOP IT! GET AWAY FROM ME!' I shout and squirm to back away.

KAITLIN'S POV

She began panicking, kicking the sheets to push her further away. I walk up to her and try to reahc out to her but she cowers away. The guys she was with wake up and look around in alert. They see Hart and try and comfort her. All she does is shout at their actions. Doctors and a nurse came running in, straight to Hart.

'Please! What is going on! Help! Please help me!' She shouts, unaware we were trying to help her.

The doctors restrin her and talk to her to calm her down adn she stpos cowering, her breathing sped up slightly and her eyes darted around in alert.

'Miss Hart, what's going on?' Said a doctor.

'Everything is different...I...I...' she started before teh doctor asked another question.

'What does it seem like?' He asked.

'It's not dark anymore...' She said.

'What's wrong with her? One of the guys said, hugging the other making it clear to me they were indeed a couple.

'We believe she has regained her vision...'
