Bellamy
Clarke giggled when Octavia splashed her with water. Alice joined them and suddenly I could see three women that had turned into little girls.
Quinn flung his small arms around my neck, careful not to choke me. His soft locks stuck to his forehand and his light freckles became more prominent in the dim off the moon, accentuating his cheek bones.
No matter how hard I tried, my eyes kept drifting over to Clarke. It's like she was magnetic or something. Once my eyes settled on her, I'd forget why I was looking at her in the first place.
"Clarke, stay here while I go to the car and get you a towel," said Octavia, grabbing her towel hanging from a tree.
"Thank you." Clarke smiled and glanced over at Alice, who held up a piece of reed.
I couldn't possibly think was was so fascinating about a reed. My cousin was strange in many ways, but who could blame her.
Alice Blake is the only child of my mother's sister, our aunt Marlene. Marlene Blake had an affair with a married man, and the result of this was Alice. She got kicked out and made a living on her own.
She went into many illegal acts in which she was never caught for (as told by Alice) and became quite rich because of it.
Aunt Marlene, having lived a hard life, took it out on her daughter. She treated Alice very badly, beating her and making sure Alice didn't turn out like her. Making Alice do everything for her, and it wasn't hard to tell she didn't care about her at all.
Alice was a mistake to Marlene. No wonder Alice started dating behind her back. The day she found out, all of hell broke loose.
The boy dumped her, leaving her pregnant with Quinn. Octavia and I had experienced just how much shit Alice had to go through as a kid.
I'd rather be homeless than live with Aunt Marlene.

Octavia glanced around the reasonable sized mansion. It was mainly empty and the officers ensured we were both okay before entering the massive house.
"Marlene Blake?" One of the officers said to the plump lady with curly platinum bleached hair.
"Yes," she replied grimly. "Come in."
Aunt Marlene was less than happy to have to take care of us, but our mother had put her name down for next authority over us.
We had only visited our aunt a few times when mama was alive, and I can say we speak for both of us when I say she was one horrible toad of a woman. No manners, stuck up, rude, the list is endless.
The officers nodded and left us vulnerable with Aunt Marlene. Our aunt looked at us with seething hatred, like we were rats in her house that needed to be caught and killed.
I gripped Octavia and held her hand tightly. She trembled slightly, even though it wasn't cold.
Aunt Marlene glared at us and ordered around a housekeeper. "Take them to their room."
The housekeeper, which we later learnt was called Josie, swiftly motioned to us.
"Let me know if you ever need anything else," she smiled kindly. She was a middle aged woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. Although her hands were rough from scrubbing and cleaning, her eyes were lined with happy lines, despite her dark circles.
Josie always made the best out of a situation. She was the only person who didn't make us feel like the world was against us.
Mansion. Twenty-five bedrooms. Most of them empty. And our Aunt Marlene gave her niece and nephew a small room in the attic to share.
This was it. This was our new life, and we weren't sure what lay ahead.

"I think it's time to go." Alice smiled and peeled a unhappy Quinn off my shoulders.
"Already? Can't we stay a little while longer?" Quinn complained.
"We've been here for quite a while, do you want to be a shriveled prune honey?"
Quinn smirked cheekily and clung onto me like a magnet. "Is Clarke coming with us?"
Quinn had grown to like Clarke, and was looking back and forth between her, Alice, and me.
Clarke looked down at her hands, trying to avoid my eye contact like I was going to pierce into her soul then gauge her eyeballs out. There were times I would have liked to do that.
Her blonde hair was soaked by the water around her, reflecting the moon like a mirror. Her reflection was also oddly clear in the water, despite the ripples.
Magic. The night was magical, surrounded by my family and then there is was Clarke. Who was the only odd one out. The outlier. The one who didn't belong with us. And truthfully, I didn't want her to be with us.
But Octavia loved her, I couldn't see why. So did Alice and Quinn. The common denominator was Clarke. And then there's me, a fraction off. Numbers are endless, so correction, I was way off.
Why does she have such an impact on everyone? Why can't she just disappear?
Octavia handed her a towel and she reluctantly took it. I had caught her looking at me before but she looked away.
Good. I wanted her to be scared of me. To fear me. She should be scared, no one messes with Bellamy Blake.
I scrunched up my face when I remember the way I had grabbed her and flung her into the water.
Why did I do that?
I didn't need to. Maybe if I hadn't, she would've left. Everything is always on me. It was because of me she ended up staying; why didn't I let her go? It's my fault.
It's always my fault.

A/N: hey friends!! Sorry I've been so overly busy with school, that I haven't had much time to update this story. I aim to update at least once a week.
I decided to show I little bit more of Octavia and Bellamy's back story in regards to Alice, instead of the actual drama I had planned for this chapter.
Next chapter we get to see some real drama lmao, this time for sure.
It's in Bellamy's point of view again as well.
