Bellamy

I had no idea what I was doing, but maybe for once in my life I made the right choice. Just maybe, I could be happy again.

There was a small part of me that was still nagging and tugging at my heart. The fact that I had never felt this complete before in my life. I hadn't even felt this complete before with Julia, and that frightened me.

They say when one door closes, another one opens but I sill felt like I had deliberately slammed the door shut on Julia. I couldn't afford to do that to Clarke.

Do I deserve to be happy?

I pulled up by Clarke's apartment, and the vibe was a little different compared to the last time I had dropped her off.

"You look like a black coffee kinda guy," she said randomly. "Not a caramel latte guy, I never would've guessed.

"Is it because I'm so bitter?" I said quietly.

"No, it shows that you are not what you make out to be." Clarke looked at me unexpectedly, unsure of what to do. "Do I get to come back to work?"

"Of course, I'm too lazy to be an accountant too you know. I'm pretty talented but I just doing have the time," I gloated.

"Wow okay Mr Talented, I'll see you tomorrow?" She leaned and gave me a light peck on the cheek.

"Goodnight Clarke," I said softly.

"Goodnight Bellamy."

The office had a different feel as well, firstly because everyone was actually comfortable with me now. I now understand what it's like to have people grow close to you, and each and every employee was so different.

It was never that I didn't care about my employees. I just did not care who they were, what they were like. But now, I know almost everyone's name.

Secondly because Clarke was making every excuse to come to my office to see me. She walked in once more, holding a stack of files. "What color do you think I should use for the interior costs?"

I raised an eyebrow at her. "You came all the way to ask me that?"

She went crimson red, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Uh...yeah? This is important ya know!"

"Uh huh," I nodded. "So very important."

"No need for a sarcasm," she exclaimed.

"Why don't you tell me why you are really here, and why you come to my office with the shittiest excuses I have ever seen coming from someone who just wants an excuse to talk to me," I smirked.

"I am not trying to purposely come here!" Clarke defended. "I just need answers as to which color!"

"There is an office full of people out there that can tell you exactly which color, shade, material, and size the folder should be that holds whatever it was that you wanted it to hold," I grabbed the cup of coffee on my desk and took a thoughtful sip, not moving my eyes of Clarke's the entire time.

"Fine. FINE. You caught me!" She whined and turned around to leave."

"I'm not complaining," I laughed. "It's kinda cute."

She smiled and bolting towards me. One minute she was standing behind my desk and the next, she was standing next to me.

Clarke looked at me longingly for a second, and then he smooth fingers brushed against my face. She took a step closer and shyly sat on my lap. I leaned in close and whispered, "I like the red one by the way...it matches your face right now."

She pretended to be offended and flicked my hand away from her face as I was reaching out to touch it lightly.

Clarke came into my life in a rather abrupt manner. In that one instantaneous moment, I had made up my mind that I despised her.

Could you be more wrong Bellamy?

I couldn't stand her, now I can't keep my hands off her. I feared if she lingered in my office any longer, it would look unprofessional and my productivity would plummet, not that it already wasn't. But low key, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep my hands off her.

To add to the mysterious vibe, I leaned in until my breath was hot on her ear and said, "I think you need to get back to work Princess."

The shiver was prominent as she jerked upwards and straightened up her skirt. "I think you are right...sir." Clarke smirked and took her stack of files piled in front of her face. "And besides, you're my boss and we shouldn't...FUCK," she cursed as she stubbed her toe on the chair.

Which was absolutely hilarious, considering I was a minimalist and there was very few things in my office.

"We shouldn't fuck, you're right," I nodded sarcastically.

Clarke fumbled on her folders and tried to redeem her tilted image, going an even brighter shade of red. "Ye-yeah, uh...yeah."

But I wonder what is really going through your head right now Clarke.

"But like...I mean....I...." she trailed off, embarrassed and unsure of what to say. I knew what she was trying to imply, but I was enjoying torturing the poor girl, likewise I thought it was time for her to actually get back to work, but I wished I could keep her with me all day.

"Clarke, get back to work," I said in my most boss-like tone.

That girl is seriously not a quitter.

"I'm going! I'm going," she complained.

I shook my head and slipped in a laugh to myself when the office door closed behind her.

Definitely one of a kind.
