CHAPTER 10

Soon, the end of the week neared- and I still haven't packed!

"Raffi how do I know what to take?!" I growled in frustration throwing a shoe at the floor.

She laughed a little. "It's a treaty signing, "She said and walked over to my wardrobe at the end of Aiden's room. He convinced me to share with him after we became part of the pack.

'You didn't complain' Leona sneered teasingly.

I blocked her out with a smile and turned back to Raffi.

"So, mainly for during the day you can wear whatever you want- as long as it's suitable. " She smiled, "I wouldn't wear many things with a revealing neckline if I were you."

I rolled my eyes at her joke. "You don't like vampires either?"

She sighed. "I'm not keen. So in the evenings, you need to be smart- vampires are really into formality and etiquette and all of that. So you'll need a dress."

"Uggghhhh." I flopped back onto the bed with a hiss.

"I know right." Raffi smiled. "You can probably borrow one off of someone- or buy one."

There was a soft rap at the door.

"Come in!"

Aiden stepped into the room, a box in hand. "So, I'm just in time then?" He raised an eyebrow with a smirk at the mess of clothes on the floor.

"Maybe." I grumbled.

He blushed pink and handed me the box. It was rectangular and white, with a navy blue bow wrapped around it. "For you." He mumbled.

My mouth fell open in surprise. "Thank you- you didn't have to."

He wrapped an arm around my shoulders and kissed my forehead. "I know- I wanted to. Open it." He urged.

With nimble fingers, I pulled the bow apart and watched it flutter to the floor. Lifting the lid off the box, I gasped as I saw the rich, navy blue material that matched Aiden's eyes.

I lifted the dress out of the box and took in its appearance. It was beautiful; it was royal navy blue and would reach my knees. It had lace appliqué bodice type thing that spread over the shoulders into soft short sleeves.

"Thank!" I put the dress down and hugged Aiden.

"Damn girl, you gonna look sexy." Raffi teased.

"Mine." Aiden growled.

Raffi snorted. "Yeah yeah- now leave!" She began pushing him out. "We have packing to do!"

"Fine! Fine! I'm going!" He whined.

'He's such a baby.' Leona laughed lightly.

I began lifting some clothes into a suitcase, folding them carefully. Putting the frankly gorgeous dress back into its box, I asked, conversationally, "So, do you have a mate, Raffi?"

She sighed. "Not for me." Then she shrugged. "Ah well- they'd just get in the way of being a good beta."

I laughed. "Nothing could stop you being a good beta, Gi-Raffi," I teased, using Nick's nickname for her.

She stuck her tongue out and smiled. "I can tell that nickname is going to stick now- isn't it?"

I nodded sharply. "Yup."

Aiden hugged his mother goodbye, kissing her cheek. "We'll be fine Ma." He assured.

Chase punched my shoulder gently and grinned. "See you soon sis, try not to be eaten, yeah?"
