Connor, Evan and Zoe behind them walked into the school hallways, Zoe went off her way with a group of girls and that left Connor and Evan to go find a nice place to chill. Their walk was silent until they got stopped by Jarrod. Yes Jarrod the tall ( But not as tall as Lara hehehseheh )ginger kid. Evan was to afraid to say anything after what happened before.
"What do you want" Connor grunted.
"You know, the usual."
"I thought I told you, I gave you the rest of what i had. Dude I've stopped smoking and shit." Connor tried to leave as he turned around Jarrod pulled his hood, Ending up choking Connor. Jarrod pushed Connor against the lockers and got a fist in the jaw "You better get me some or else man." Jarrod walked off.
Connor stood up wiping the blood from his lip onto his sleeve and put his arm over Evans shoulders "Lets skip first period, Yeah?"
"Y-yeah okay.." Even gave a small smile, as they both left the building and sat under a tree where no other kid could see them.
"Man its only been 2 days back and I already got punched but i mean i made a friend" Connor smiled and kissed Evan
The day went on as the usual. Class to class.
it was 2 minuets before the bell, and Connor started drawing stars and constellations on his desk, something that Zoe would do. Finally the bell rang, Connor kissed Evan again to say bye and went off to go find Zoe. Once he got to Zoes' locker he waited for her to get there, once they did they both went off to her car and drove home. "What happened to you lip?" she asked
"I got in a fight."
"Again? with who?"
"Jarrod, he wanted some pot but i actually dont have anymore."
The trip was silent after that. When they got home Connors phone buzzed it was a message from Evan
"Hey so are we like.. together now I mean sorry I'm awkward and i mean texting is the only way without me stuttering??"
" Do you wanna be together? and its fine i don't really care if you stutter."
"Yes okay!! <33"
"Okay great I'll see you tomorrow at the tree than?"
"Yep ily!"
"Ily2 im gonna go sit on the tree now so ill be back after sunset!"
With that Connor turned off his phone and went outside and played "Miss Jackson" on his ukulele and singing quietly. Zoe had come into his room walked to his open window, Connor not knowing she was there she yelled out to him
"Hey asshat!"
"hOLY SHIt. Hi wht the fuck do you want."
"I don't know i got bored in my room and you didnt turn your phone off and so i read your and Evans text and I didn't know he was your boyfriend!" Connor came back inside and took his phone out of Zoes hand and pushed her out of his room
"Fuck off. Why can't this family just FUck off!!" Connor closed his door and locked it.
"Evan holy shit"
"what now?"
"Zoe knows we are together"
"what why?! HOW?"
"She read our texts ahah shit I'm an idiot"
"Just talk to me about it at school tomorrow.."
"Ok yeah that might be a better idea.."
Connor once again turned off his phone and PUT IT IN HIS POCKET this time he sat on his bed thinking about if she tells their parents. As Connors mom walked in the door and called Zoe and Connor down. Larry wasnt home which was good, but anyways. Zoe and Connor both walked down stairs and Cynthia was carrying what looked like a cage. well it was a cage
"whats in it?" Zoe questioned
"Its a surprise" Cynthia answered. She put it on the floor and let it opened the door. It was a small white fluffy dog. He ran up the Connors legs, he bent down and picked him up
"well whats his name gonna be?" Cynthia looked at Connor holding the puppy like a baby.
"I think I'm gonna name him.. Mercury." Connor smiled like an actual smile, at his family. Mercury licked his nose and Connor hugged him.
