*Kat's P.O.V*
"It's really me,"I said shyly.
"Oh wow, what a coincidence it's been so long,"Kaden said.
"Yep it has,"I said awkwardly.
Isabel smiles at me, and I'm frozen. Kaden and I had a thing once he was my first love, but things didn't really work out.
"You can sleep in my room Isabel,"Slater said to Isabel. "Follow me I'll show you."
Isabel mouths me the words good luck, then walks away with Slater, leaving Kaden and I all alone. Great just great ugh.
"You can sit if you want,"Kaden said patting the empty space next to him on the couch.
"Okay thanks,"I said.
My heart is pounding a million miles an hour, and I'm so nervous.
"So tell me what brings you here,"Kaden asked me?
"Well long story short, someone stole our car, and we lost the others, so I found Isabel, and she was with her ex crush from high school, and he offered to let us sleep at his house, so she said yes, now I'm here,"I said.
"Hmm sounds like you've had a rough night, do you want cocoa I was just making some,"Kaden said.
"Um sure that'd be nice,"I said.
"Are you hungry? When was the last time you ate? I'll take you to get some food or I could make you something,"Kaden said.
"This morning, but yeah I'm hungry. You don't need to get me food though I'll survive,"I said blushing.
"It's no trouble at all I bet you're starving, I'll make you some food,"Kaden said concerned.
"You sure? Thanks for being so welcoming,"I said.
"Yeah no problem, I'd be happy to help any day,"Kaden said.
"Well I'm just glad I know you, if I was just stuck with Isabel and Slater they'd probably had left me sitting in the middle of the living room while they catch up,"I said.
"Yea well I'm glad you're here, if you need to shower go right ahead,"Kaden said.
"That'd be nice I stink, but I don't have any clothes with me other than the one's I'm wearing,"I said.
He got the food some chicken out, and put seasoning on it.
"Well you're more than welcome to borrow some of my clothes,"Kaden said. "Food should be done by the time you're out."
"Thanks again, can you um help me find everything,"I asked?
"Oh yeah sorry let me just put this on the pan,"He said putting the chicken on the pan, then running his hands under water. "Okay let's go."
He takes me to his room, and hands me some clothes a hoodie, a t-shirt,and sweatpants.
"And the bathroom is just over there,"He said pointing to the bathroom in his room."Let's see oh and don't be afraid to feel at home."
"Alright have fun with the chicken,"I said.
"Haha thanks I'll see you soon towel is on the rack,"He said going back into the kitchen.
I go to the bathroom, and hang my clothes. I take a quick shower, and put on his clothes, I use a hair tie to keep the sweatpants from falling, and walk out. I sit at the table, and stare at the wall taking in all the events of the night. Kaden gives me my food, then sits down with me.
"Are you okay,"He asked?
"I'm fine I've been better, but yeah,"I said sighing.
I eat my food, and realize this is the best tasting chicken I've ever tasted "That's amazing! I think I'm in love,"I said.
Kaden laughs "Thank you I'm glad to hear you like it, I've been studying cooking."
"Really? Oh wow! Every time I cook something bad always happens,"I said!
"Oh trust me I remember,"Kaden said.
"Hah I'm shocked,"I said in between mouth fulls.
"Woah slow down you're gonna choke,"Kaden said laughing.
"I didn't realize how hungry I was till now,"I said.
"Yea I figured you were hungry, I should get you water,"Kaden said.
"Yes please, that would be nice, thank you,"I said.
He went to get me water, and I finish my chicken. He comes back, and gives me my water. I drink it all, and wipe off my face. I'm embarrassing.
"Wanna watch a movie,"Kaden asked?
"Yess that would be great,"I said.
We sit on the couch by each other.
"What do you wanna watch,"Kaden asked?
"Can we watch the notebook I bet you've never seen that,"I said.
"Nope it's a chick flick,"Kaden said.
"Come on try it out you boy,"I said.
"Alright fine we'll watch it,"Kaden said.
He turns on the notebook, and I get excited. I know I'll cry at the end I always do.
"Yessss this is my showwww,"I said!
"Haha let's see if it's really so good,"Kaden said.
"It's really sad,"I said "I'll probably cry at the end like always."
"Guess we'll see,"Kaden said.
We shut up, and watch the movie I fall asleep, and he does too.
*Isabel's P.O.V*
I lay on Slaters bed starring at the ceiling, when he walks back into his room.
"Oh hi welcome back,"I said.
"Hey are you comfy,"He asked?
"Yeah I feel like I could just fall right asleep,"I said.
"Well good I better go get my bed set on the couch,"Slater said.
"I'll sleep on the couch, you really don't have to give up your bed,"I said.
"No really it's okay the couch is fine,"Slater said.
"Okay if you say so goodnight,"I said.
"Goodnight sleep well,"Slater said.
Slater walks out while turning off the lights,and I get comfortable. He comes back in a few seconds later.
"Well it looks like your friend, and my roommate have already taken the couch,"Slater said.
"Omg!! You can't be serious? Kat?! Noooo wayyy! I'm shocked,"I said.
I run out of his room, and see Kat and Kaden cuddling on the couch asleep. Oh snap what about Josh. I tip toe back to Slaters room, and freak out!
"Wow! I'm really shocked. Just come join me in the bed, we'll put a pillow between us,"I said.
"Me too how do they know each other? And okay cool,"Slater said.
"Wow well they had this thing back in the day,"I said.
"Hmm really? I'll have to ask him,"Slater said.
"Yeah that'd be better, I'm gonna go to bed for real I'm tired,"I said getting into bed.
Slater puts a pillow between us, and I lay down starring at the ceiling.
"Hey Izzie?"Slater asked?
"Yeah,"I said.
"Did you ever like me,"Slater asked?
"Well.....Yeah I had the biggest crush ever on you,"I said.
"Oh wow really? I did too,"Slater said.
"Are you serious? I always thought you didn't know who I was, cause you were so popular,"I said.
"Me popular?! I didn't think I was. I thought you were out of my league, so I never talked to you, cause I wasn't good enough, and you always made me incredibly shy,"Slater said.
"Really? It was that simple, all we had to do was talk to each other, and we'd have been together,"I said shocked.
"Yeah I guess life gave us a second chance,"Slater said.
"Yea it did,"I said smiling.
