I wake up laying on Kaden's chest. I grab my phone, and see I have a bunch of missed call from Jasmine, oh no.
I sit up, and call her back. She answers.
*Phone call*
Jasmine-Kat! Omg where are you?!
Kat-Found a friend to stay with, and so I'm at his apartment.
Jasmine-Joshua wants to talk to you.
Kat-Okay.
Josh-Where have you been I've been so worried about you?
Kat-Oh um I'm at a friends house we ran into them, Isabel's with me too.
Josh-Good I'm just glad you're safe. Where do you want to meet?
Kat-umm I don't know I'll text you where okay? I promise. I just gotta ask Kaden a good place to meet, then he'll drop me off.
Josh-Who's Kaden? But okay be safe.
Kat-He's a friend from back then, I'll be fine love ya.
Josh-Love you too I'll see you soon.
Kat-Okay byeee
*Phone call ends*
"Who was that,"Kaden asked sitting up.
"Oh my friend, and my boyfriend,"I said.
"You have a boyfriend,"He asked?
"Yea don't you have a girlfriend,"I asked?
"No kinda ended up single,"Kaden said.
"Oh I'm sorry, but do you know any places where I could meet my boyfriend,"I asked?
"There's a Walgreens near here,"Kaden said "I'll take you there."
"Sounds cool I should go wake up Isabel,"I said
"Alright,"He said.
He shows me to Slaters room, and we open the door while screaming to wake them up.
"Izzie wakeeee upppp,"I yell.
"Yeah stop cuddling,"Kaden said!
Isabel wakes up, and starts panicking.
"Shut up you gave me a heart attack,"Isabel said.
"I thought Slater was sleeping on the couch or something,"Kaden said.
"Noooo he couldn't you guys were to busy cuddling on the couch,"Isabel said.
"Oh no you saw? It was nothing I was asleep I couldn't control what I did,"I said.
Kaden walks out sadly. "I'm just gonna wait out here."
"Yeah sure. I saw what you guys were watching, something only lovers would watch,"Isabel said.
"Oh shut up I'm done talking about this,"I said.
"What's with the noise,"Slater asked sleepily?
"Nothing Isabel and I just gotta go,"I said dragging her out of bed.
Slater stood up immediately "Wait don't go, I just reunited with her I wanna get to know her more, won't you stay for breakfast?"
"Only way you're gonna get to know her more is if you go on this road trip with us, and I don't where you guys are gonna get the cash to join us we have a schedule to go on, and we are suppose to be in Vegas right now, if you want we can eat at one mad band for breakfast,"I said.
"Katttt,"Isabel said whining.
"No it's okay, I wanna go on a road trip I'm pretty sure Kaden does too we've been stuck in this apartment for so long, and we can definitely afford it Kaden and I are millionaires are family is very rich we're cousins,"Slater said.
"Wait what?! You're cousins? And millionaires,"Isabel said shocked.
"Woahhhh I think my mind just blew up I'm out imma go wait in the car with Kaden,"I said.
"Wait hold the phone I'm just gonna sit here in aw for a minute, but I'm glad you guys are joining us we just have to talk to Josh,"Isabel said.
"Yeah he'll probably be more than happy to let you guys join,"I said.
Slater grabs a couple suitcases from his walk in closet, and put on a hat and sunglasses "Now I'm road trip ready, been preparing for a trip for sooo long,"Slater said.
"Woah well that's not creepy at all,"I said.
"Go help Kaden, Kat I'll help Slater,"Isabel said.
"Fine good luck,"I said.
I walk out the room, and walk over to Kaden's.
"Hey,"I said standing at his door frame."
"Hi so guess we're going on a road trip together Slater texted me, weird right? I'm just gonna pack my crap now,"Kaden said.
"Yea it is a little weird, but I'll help if you want,"I said.
"Sure that'd be nice,"He said. "Will you get me a couple of shirts from my closet?"
"Sure I gotchu,"I said.
I throw him 3 shirts that'd look good on him, and sat on his bed watching him pack.
"Kaden who would've thought you'd end up living in Nevada,you always seemed like you wanted to stay in Utah, when we were talking about our futures you said maybe one day you'd leave Utah,"I said.
"Yea well I guess you're right I did leave Utah it's one day now. But Who would've thought you'd stay in Utah I remember you telling me how much you wanted to leave, and go somewhere else for college,"Kaden said.
"I'm leaving after this road trip is over I'm moving to Hawaii, and going to college at BYU to major in Fashion designing,"I said.
"Hmm seems like you just wanna be by the ocean,"Kaden said "You wanted to go to California when I knew you back then."
"I do I love the ocean it's beautiful, you've got that right,"I said.
"Kat remember that Halloween night, when we saw each other,"Kaden asked?
"Yea that's the night when I really fell in love with you,"I said.
-FlashBack-
I hold my little brother as I walk towards the next house I'm gonna get as much candy as I can for my brother! I knock on the door and get my candy, I give my little brother to my sister to hold while I fix my pirate hat. I turn around to be greeted by a bunch of boys dressed up as greasers, but one in particular caught my eye Kaden. You know in the movies when you see someone and you guys just sit there starring at each other, and it doesn't seem creepy, it's like it's just you guys in love, time just stopped, that's what's happening. I look into his striking blue eyes, and never wanted to look away.
"Come on we gotta go get some more houses it's late we aren't gonna get much candy if you keep starring at him,"Abie said.
I'm gonna marry him, I think to myself.
"Let's go,"I said not really wanting to leave.
We looked at each other one last time as I got into the car with my siblings. We get to another house and I see him there, but he leaves and doesn't notice me. I've seen him around at school, and thought he's hot, but tonight is the one night when I actually fell in love with him.
-Flashback over-
I cry inside as I remember it all everything I've been trying to avoid. Getting over your first love is hard. No matter how many times I told myself I was over him, I knew I was lying to myself, so I bottled everything up and avoided anything that had to do with him, but eventually those feelings will find a way to come back and just explode making the feelings 100 times more complicated to deal with.
"Yeah that was also the night I fell in love with you,"Kaden said. "I thought I was the only one caught in the moment."
"Oh I didn't know you felt the same,"I said.
"Trust me I did, and I've never been able to look at another girl the same again,"Kaden said.
"Why'd you tell me there was someone else then,"I asked?
"Because I needed to stop it, I thought you were in love with that one guy you use to hang out with all the time,"Kaden said, "And I didn't wanna be broken."
"Well you broke my heart instead, you could've asked you know,"I said putting my head down sadly.
"I'm sorry we were young I didn't know how those things worked,"Kaden said.
"Yeah,"I said sighing.
He finishes packing, and I help carry his bags out. We put them into his car, and we just sit in the car waiting for Isabel, and Slater. We see them walking out the building, and they put his bags in the back.
"I'm surprise they even made it out of there,"Kaden said joking.
"Yeah same haha I thought they'd be in there for a century,"I said.
They get in, and sit in the back talking.
"So Slater I'm glad I found you again, we'll have plenty of time to get to know each other on this road trip,"Isabel said to Slater.
"Yeah as long as you're in our car we'll have all the time in the world to talk,"Slater said.
"Oh trust me boy I will be,"Isabel said.
"You guys are adorable even though you aren't dating I mean I could totally see you guys as a couple,"I said to them.
"Aww thanks people use to tell us that all the time in school, remember Slater,"Isabel said.
"Yeah I remember it's a shame we never actually made it happen,"Slater said.
"Yeah the biggest shame ever,"I said.
Kaden drives off while I text Josh to meet us at Walgreens. We get to Walgreens, and see The van there how in the world did they get it back. Kaden stops the car, and I hug him.
"Thank you for being so nice to me,"I said.
"Anytime I'll be here for you always,"Kaden said.
"You're amazing,"I said.
I get out of his car, and run over to Josh who is standing by the van. He carries me, and kisses me.
"I missed you,"I said to Josh.
"I missed you too, I will never leave you like that again I swear,"Josh said.
"It's okay I reunited with some old friends, and had a great adventure so far,"I said.
"Well don't worry the adventure isn't over yet,"Josh said.
"I know, speaking of which, can Kaden and Slater join our road trip,"I asked?
He puts me down "Um sure I guess."
"Yussss thanks boo,"I said.
I saw Kaden watching us from his car with a jealous look on his face.
"Is there anything going on with you and that Kaden guy,"Josh asked?
"No we are just friends,"I said.
The thing is I feel something for Kaden truth be told being with him makes me so happy , I'm horrible I know, but I don't know what to do.
"Okay good I believe you,"Josh said.
That just made me feel worst he trusts me, and I'm sitting here lying to him right in front of his face. I should've told him about Kaden and I's old chemistry, but I just can't if he found out I fell asleep with Kaden last night he'd be broken, and I don't wanna do to him what Kaden did to me.
