TRIS POV

I woke up early and see the light shining into my room. The house is still quiet so I know everyone else is still asleep. I snuggle back down into my pillow. Wait- this is not a pillow. This is a person. A person who's muscular arms are wrapped around me protectively. Four.

My moving must have woken him up.

"It's too early." He mumbled, trying to go back to sleep.

"Four." I repeated a few times, simultaneously poking his cheek.

After finally getting him awake I explain what im thinking. "So we cant really tell everyone that we left last night. Because they'll ask why and I don't want to tell them everything."

Four agrees and we walk down to the kitchen to start making breakfast for everyone else.We cook mostly in silence, and I keep thinking about last night.

We drove home talking about totally random topics, not once mentioning the kiss. It almost felt like it didn't happen, we had acted so natural around each other after. When we got back to the house, I put on a movie and Four joined me without hesitation. I don't know how, but he knew exactly how to make me fee better last night. We must've fell asleep in the middle of it though, which is how I ended up wrapped in his arms this morning.

"Im starting to think one thing that isn't changing is how I feel about you." How does he feel about me? The same way I feel about him? I doubt it.

But, I think, for just a second, what if...

For a little while when we first met, I thought I had a shot with him. But nothing ever happened, and then there was Al. So instead of waiting for the impossible, I got into a relationship that actually made sense.

After we finish laying out a feast of pancakes, muffins, and fruit, I grab two cans of silly string and toss one to Four.

He looks confused, so I explain. "I mean, we were nice enough to make them breakfast. So this is how they get woken up."

He smirks. "How? Like this?" He says and sprays me in the face.

"You did not just-"

He answers by spraying my shirt.

"Oh, Its on!" I exclaim. We quickly empty the cans, But everyone else is already walking into the kitchen. Woken probably, from my shrieks and laughter.

"What is going on?" Marlene questions, eyeing the silly string.

"Well, it was going to be sprayed on you. But someone," I say looking pointedly at Four. "Couldn't contain his excitement, and declared war."

He looks down at me and laughs, pushing a piece of hair behind my ear. "You have string in your hair."

Someone clears their throat, and My eyes snap away from Four's.

"What?" I question, seeing all my friends weird looks.

"You two are acting like a-" Will is cut of by Christina, who jabs him with her elbow. I give her a weird look and she shrugs.

As the day goes on, I cant stop wondering what Will was about to say. And what Four said last night. And as much as I wanted him to kiss me again,or ask why he did, I was glad we weren't acting awkward about last night.
