Play it again: a divergent high school fanfiction

Chapter 10

Heyyy yall. Here is chapta 10! so last chapter tobias and tris said they loved each other awee.

Any way this chapter is going to skip over the rest of the weekend and theyre going to start the school year.

In Case you forgot or didnt know, Tris and everyone is 16 and this is sophmore year for them  (Grade 10) And tobias is 19 in senior year (grade 12) Ill explain how the school works in the chapter.

Monday morning my alarm clark goes off all to early.Early morning wake up were definatly something I have not missed about school. Today is the  First day of sophmore year,and for once Im actually pretty excited for school to start. I mean this year I can go in confidantly. I have an amazing group of friends. I finally feel like im totally apart of their group, because as close as we were last year, we were all in separte parts of the school. Plus, I think it will be nice to finally not be invisible in school. Im not going to lie we are kind of what most people call " the popular group." But its not like were all stuck up if thats what you're thinking.

After I shower and dry my hair I curl it and do my makeup. Concealer, mascara, light coat of glittery eyeshawdow,and a thin stroke of eyeliner. It was still really warm out, so I put on white denim shorts, and a black off- the-shoulder shirt. Then I grabbed a muffin from the kitchen and my car keys, then headed to school. 

On the way there, I was thinking about our schedules. Mines probably going to be pretty different this year. Our school is super weird. Its divided into 5 sections instead of grades. Theres candor, erudite,amity, abnegation, and dauntless. Each section has different teachers, classes, extra curricular activities, and different beliefs. Freshman year you get assigned to a group according to waht your parents choose. But sophmore year, you choose where you want to be for the rest of high school. It dosent really make sense why were split up like this, but supposedly we'll learn better if were surronded by peers with the same intrests and beliefs. Or something along those lines.

All i know is im definatly choosing dauntless. I was never good at being selfless like the abnegatioon teachers instructed me to be. Plus, all my friends are in dauntless and they have all the best sports and classes.

I park in my usual spot in the front row next to tobias who I see is still in his car, but he gets out the same time I do. He greets me and we kiss for a few seconds before I hear

" Ooohh A stiff showing PDA. never thought Id see it!" Wait, I know that voice. I turn and see Al. He has some slutty  looking girl hanging on to him and laughing like he had just said the funiest thing in the world. A stiff was a name some guys at our school came up with, and it quickly spread. Its used to describe someone who was the oposite of the girl al was with. In lamest terms it meant someone who wouldnt put out, a virgin. Its not like  think Its a bad thing to be a virgin, but I had never been called a name at school. My cheeks burned with embarrasment, even though no one else was around besides me, Tobias, Al,and the girl. I turn around and see Christina and uriah right behind us. Thats when Chris slaps Al across the face.

" Chrissy what the hell?" Al yells.

" First of all dont call me that. Thats a name my friends call me. Second that was an attempt to smack some sense into you. You used to be a caring kindhearted person. now, you're just a douche." She says glarring daggers at him. He just looks shocked, but Me and everyone else walks away. Halfway to the door we meet up with the rest of our group and we all enter the building together. I've got to say we look pretty intimidating.

In the very front we have me in my semi- revealing outfit and tobias in jeans a simple white tee that shows off his muscles, and a leather jacket. he has his arm wrapped around my waist and he then kissed me on the forehead.

About half a step behind and to the right of us, is Chris and will. Theyre holding hands and I hear Chrissy tease Will about how short he is next to her in her heels. He, of course shows her that he is still stronger and lift her onto his back, carrying her piggy-back style.

Next to them Is Mar and Uri. Uri leans in to give her a quick kiss, but wsshe turns at the last second and laughs, before kissing his cheek.

Finally in the back is zeke and shauna who are, as usual, playing around and laughing hysterically.

So, here we all are. Our group that everyone know, walking into the first day without a care in the world, while most people are rushing around busily. they all are staring and whispering when I realize its because of me and tobias. since we were out of school, no one really knew we were together. I could pick up on parts of their whispers as we walked by.

according to some big gossipers we were the schools newest " It couple"

according to a group of of jelous looking girls he was only with me to sleep with me.

and according to a group of guys I was really " starting to fill out" I get the feeling Tobias heard that one too, because his arm tightened around me as we walked by them. We all got our lockers and schedules. somehow all our lockers are in the same hallway. on one side was my locker next to Chris' then two away from hers was Tobias'. directly across the hallway from mine was zeke's one away from him was uri and will. then over three more was Mar and Shauna. I finally got a good look at my schedule and saw :

1st - english

2nd- math

3rd -gym

4th- science

lunch

5th- music

6th- History

7th- free period

Once i analyze mine I compare it with everyone elses. we all have Music, Gym, lunch, and free period together. I have everything with Chris And Tobias. and English with mar and zeke. PLus history with Uri.

"guys the bell rings in 1 minute." I say to Chris, marlene, and tobias. " We'll see you all soon." I add to everyone else. we head of in oppsite directions and start our first day back.
